    Summary of reviews

Plantation Nursing & Rehab Center elicits a mixed but consistent pattern across reviewers: its rehabilitation services and therapy staff are a clear strength, and many families describe measurable functional improvement and individualized therapy plans. Therapists and some nursing staff receive frequent praise for clinical skill and encouragement, and admissions, social-work and some administrative team members are commonly described as helpful and communicative. The facility runs an active activities program and offers a flexible visiting policy, which families and residents appreciate.

Despite those strengths, reviewers raise recurring operational concerns about nursing care consistency and timeliness. Common themes include slow responses to call lights and delays in attending to residents, variability in nursing assistant responsiveness, and intermittent issues with medication timing or coordination. These issues are frequently linked to perceptions of understaffing and workload pressures. Several accounts also reference problems with discharge coordination, including difficulties obtaining discharge medications and incomplete handoffs.

Dining and housekeeping receive mixed comments. A number of reviewers praise particular cooks and menu items and describe the dining room as organized, while others note bland meals, cold or late tray delivery, and limited menu options for those with specific dietary needs. Housekeeping and sanitation are described as generally adequate in many areas, but multiple comments point to inconsistent cleaning of resident bathrooms, trash removal, occasional odor concerns, and pest-control issues that required intervention.

Staff culture appears variable: many families report compassionate, helpful caregivers and administrative staff who facilitate communication; others describe tone and conduct issues among some nurses or aides and uneven follow-through on requests. Communication is another mixed areaโ€”some reviewers value clear, regular updates from social workers or therapists, while others cite gaps in medical updates, difficulty reaching physicians or the facility by phone, and infrequent formal care meetings or reports.

Physical plant observations are consistent: the facility is described as clean in many common areas but also characterized as dated, with reviewers recommending cosmetic updates and ongoing maintenance. Weekend therapy frequency and availability is a recurring operational limitation noted by families seeking continuous therapy. Overall, Plantation Nursing & Rehab Center appears to provide strong rehabilitative services and has many dedicated staff members, but prospective residents and families should be aware of pattern-level concerns about nursing consistency, response times, medication coordination, dining/service reliability, housekeeping variability, and administrative communication. Asking targeted questions about staffing levels, call-response protocols, medication-hand off procedures, weekend therapy availability, and pest-control/housekeeping schedules during the tour or admission conversation can help set expectations and identify how the facility addresses these operational risks.

About Plantation Nursing & Rehab Center

Plantation Nursing & Rehabilitation Center LLC sits in Plantation, FL, and gives 24-hour care for seniors who need nursing and rehabilitation, whether for a short stay or long term because their health calls for regular attention, and folks living there get help with bathing, dressing, eating, and medication, things that can be tough for some, and you're going to find single rooms and shared spaces with kitchens or kitchenettes, washers and dryers, cable TV, and wifi, plus safety features like hurricane shutters and sprinkler systems for peace of mind, and the nurses watch over residents day and night, with a physician overseeing the care so families know their loved one's getting watched over closely. They offer help with walking, wheelchair assistance, and support for bathing and using the restroom, while their team also tackles wound management, pain management, and medication support. You can expect experienced staff to give occupational therapy and personal care, laundry and dry cleaning, and even podiatry, plus transportation to appointments when needed. Seniors who stay here get fed in the large dining room, or can sometimes cook for themselves if they want, and the place has social activities like games, crafts, fitness programs, learning groups, live entertainment, and pet therapy, so there's a sense of community. There are trained personal care assistants for daily living, rehabilitation programs made for each person, and group and one-on-one activities. The fitness center, activity room, and salon or barbershop are available on site, so residents can keep active and stay groomed if they want. They take Medicare and Medicaid, and folks with long-term care insurance, too, while offering insurance support. The facility's got hurricane shutters for added safety during storms, which can be a comfort to families. The management focuses on dignity and respect, and puts effort into giving care that feels close to home so people feel comfortable, and residents talk about getting good therapy here, so it's a community with decent therapy options, aiming for independence and the well-being of those who live there.
