    Welcoming, professional staff; peace restored

I visited and felt immediately welcomed by consistently friendly, professional, and compassionate staff - nurses, CMAs, security, and social workers were attentive and knowledgeable. The building is clean and bright with well-kept grounds, easy check-in, engaging activities, and tasty, balanced meals. I left with real peace of mind about the care and had a very positive experience; I would recommend checking it out.

    About Leahi Hospital

Leahi Hospital, which has been operating since 1901, serves as a long-term care and nursing home facility that's controlled by the state government, and they're well-known for taking care of seniors needing skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and adult day health services, including the Leahi Adult Day Health Center program that helps the community, so you've got a place that's wheelchair accessible and offers onsite restrooms, with a courtyard and even an office with a nice view, and a thrift shop where you might find clothes, household items, or toys. The hospital has 160 staffed beds, though the full facility has more than 1,200 licensed beds, and they're set up for both inpatient and outpatient care, along with serving people who need short-term rehab, transitional care, or residential long-term stays, plus they've helped people with tuberculosis in the past but now focus on broader nursing home and adult day health services, which means they've seen a lot of different medical needs over the years. You'll find skilled nursing services, routine care with a handful of beds, and 60 inpatient days on average, along with surgical options like thoracic, plastic, or reconstructive surgeries, plus they handle emergencies 24/7, and the staff works as an interdisciplinary team-including nurses, nutritionists, dieticians, therapists, and social workers-to make sure every resident gets a care plan that fits their physical, emotional, spiritual, and social needs. Leahi Hospital also has a wide range of clinical services: lab work, X-rays, blood tests, MRIs, imaging, cardiopulmonary care, mental health, nutrition, pediatric and respiratory services, intensive and critical care, and a home care program, plus rehabilitation like physical, occupational, and speech therapy to help folks regain strength, and the facility includes food and nutrition support, social services, and recreational therapy. For women, there are mammography services, maternity homes, and health classes, while the hospital follows a Statement of Non-Discrimination to serve people regardless of race, religion, , age, disability, or orientation, and they make sure to provide free language access in many languages so nobody gets left out, and you can use credit cards if you have payments to make, so in the end you get a state-supported hospital that's focused on helping seniors and members of the community in a pretty broad way. The hospital's website is at leahi.hhsc.org/, and it's got the CMS Certification Number 122001.
