I placed my mother here and have been very pleased with the compassionate, professional staff and responsive administration (Administrator Carter is visible and involved). The facility is clean and well-maintained, offers strong rehab and 24-hour nursing, engaging activities and transportation - a solid, trustworthy community I recommend.

    Summary of reviews

Reviewer comments produce a mixed but actionable picture of care at this post-acute and rehabilitation center. Many families and residents describe a highly motivated, compassionate care team and an effective rehab staff who focus on patient-centered recovery. Several reviewers praised the facilityโ€™s warm atmosphere, responsive administration and maintenance, the availability of on-site nursing staff, and transportation and activity offerings. The grounds and exterior are frequently described as pleasant and country-like, and private rooms that allow personalization are noted as a positive for resident dignity.

At the same time, a recurrent set of clinical and operational concerns appears across reviews. Medication administration reliability is a prominent issue: reviewers cite delayed or missed doses and long wait times for PRN medications, which affected pain control for some residents. Relatedly, there are reports of delays in wound-care delivery and timeliness of other clinical interventions. These problems point to gaps in point-of-care responsiveness and care coordination that prospective families should verify during a tour.

Cleanliness and infection-control are another area of divergence. While many reviewers describe clean, well-maintained common areas, others report sanitation concerns, housekeeping inconsistencies, and at least one significant pest-control event that raised questions about protocols and family notification. These contrasting accounts suggest variability in environmental services and infection-prevention practices across units or time periods.

Staffing and clinical oversight are described as strengths by some and as inconsistent by others. Positive accounts emphasize 24-hour nursing presence and on-call physicians; negative accounts describe uneven staffing levels, late or missing clinical visits, and variable staff conduct or communication tone. Therapy and discharge practices also appear inconsistent: some residents report effective, motivating rehab, while others describe premature discharge or assessments that did not match observed mobility risk.

Dining and amenities show mixed feedback. Several families found meals accommodating and activities engaging, while others experienced institutional-tasting or cold meals and questioned meal pricing. Activity programming and social engagement receive frequent praise, though the physical interior layout and small private rooms were noted as limiting options for residents who want more out-of-room social space.

Management and leadership impressions vary. Some reviewers credit recent administrative changes with measurable improvement and responsiveness; others identify lapses in leadership continuity, family communication, and protocol adherence. Taken together, the pattern suggests the facility has strong staff and programs in place but may have inconsistencies in operational execution and oversight that can affect individual experiences.

For prospective residents and families: confirm current medication- and wound-care protocols, ask about infection-control procedures and recent pest-control events, review staffing levels and on-call physician arrangements, observe room and unit cleanliness during a visit, and request recent therapy outcomes and sample activity schedules. These checks will help determine whether the facilityโ€™s strong clinical and rehabilitative resources align with your expectations for consistent execution and communication.
