    Home-like facility with outstanding staff

I'm very pleased with this well-run, home-like facility - the staff are outstanding, kind, attentive, and respectful, and I truly feel like family there. Communication (Beatrice is especially good), coordinated hospice care, an adequate caregiver ratio, and cleanliness - they keep on top of requirements - meet our needs.

    About Golden Age 3

Golden Age 3 sits in Edmonds, WA, right in Snohomish County, and people can find it in a quiet, park-like spot with trees and gardens where the air smells fresh, and the building gives off a cozy feeling, and what you'll see when you walk in is a place meant for only six residents, so there's a feeling that everyone is known and cared for, and the home has five private rooms and a shared room for couples, each one with its own bathroom, smoke alarms, and even washers and dryers for residents who want to do their laundry when they want. You'll notice the home has ramps, wheelchair-accessible showers, and other safety and handicap features, including a wandering alert system and secured memory care section in its own building for residents who have Alzheimer's or tend to wander, and they use gadgets like bracelets with alarms that ring if a resident tries to leave the area, all so families can worry less. People living here receive help with everyday things-bathing, grooming, getting dressed, managing medications, cleaning, and even food preparation, and there's always someone around, day and night, since Golden Age 3 has 24-hour care and a caregiver-to-senior ratio that matches state requirements, and they employ a Certified Registered Nurse Assistant who has special training in Dementia and Mental Health, so care is steady and informed. Golden Age 3 offers not only assisted living, but also nursing home care, memory care, long and short-term care through Gold Autumn A.F.H, respite care, and hospice, so residents can stay as their needs change without having to move again, and there's a doctor on call, visiting nurses, dentists, and podiatrists, plus regular medical services for things like blood sugar checks and insulin administration, sliding scale therapy, and help with behavioral health-even for those with major behavior issues. You'll find transportation to and from appointments available for an extra fee, and there's parking for residents and public transit close by, so coming and going is straightforward. Meals are prepared on-site with options for vegetarian and kosher diets, and residents can enjoy snacks as they wish, and there's regular housekeeping, help with laundry, and even in-room washers and dryers for folks who like to manage on their own. Golden Age 3 keeps people busy with a variety of activities, such as board games, music therapy, pet visits, and exercise groups, along with social events and trips off-site to stay connected with the world, and there's a library for quiet reading, a roomy public living area for chatting or relaxing, and a TV and media room for movie nights or game days. Residents can also take advantage of indoor and outdoor common spaces to enjoy sun or fresh air, and there's a beautician on site for haircuts. The home stays active with regular state and health inspections and holds an active state license-though it doesn't have certification through the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, it remains under private local and state licensing. Visiting hours go from 9am to 8pm, giving families a chance to stop by often and share time together, and the place tries to create a welcoming atmosphere both for residents and visitors. Golden Age 3 aims to support seniors' independence, making things as easy as possible, and continuously works to improve the quality of care with ongoing training and up-to-date best practices, so families can feel more secure about their loved ones each day they're in the home.
