    Caring staff, excellent dining, secure

I'm very pleased with my decision - the staff are genuinely caring and professional, the chef cooks well and dining is good, and the facility is clean, bright and well-managed. My one-bedroom with balcony is comfortable; memory care is secure and engaging, with excellent nursing, hospice coordination, and plenty of outings and activities. Move-in was smooth, residents are friendly, and management makes this feel like family. I'd happily recommend this community.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression: The Enclave at Anthem presents as a modern, well-appointed senior-living campus with many of the amenities families expect: attractive landscaping and common areas, contemporary apartment finishes (full kitchens, in-unit laundry, walk-in closets, balconies), a secured memory-care neighborhood, and on-site services such as a beauty shop and shuttle. A large proportion of reviewers emphasize the facility’s social atmosphere — residents frequently interact, activities are frequent, and outings and special events (dances, bistro days, ice-cream socials) are regular parts of life there.

Care and staff: Staffing is the facility’s most commonly cited strength. Numerous comments describe staff who are compassionate, know residents by name, and provide attentive, person-centered care. Reviewers frequently praised coordinated clinical support including nurses, medical technicians, and hospice integration; families noted smooth transitions into memory care and good end-of-life coordination. At the same time, reviewers raised concerns about staffing consistency and responsiveness in some situations — turnover and occasional delays in attending to resident needs were mentioned. A smaller number of reviewers raised serious allegations relating to documentation and conduct; those items are substantive and should be investigated directly with management and regulators as appropriate.

Dining and activities: The activities program and social calendar are clear positives, with many outings, group events, and opportunities for engagement reported. Dining experiences are more mixed. Several reviewers described generous portions, fresh options, and enjoyable meals; others reported repetitive menus, limited entrée variety, substitutions, quality issues (overcooked or high-starch preparations), and higher meal-related costs. Bistro days and special dining events were noted positively, but inconsistencies in day-to-day meal quality and menu availability recur as a theme.

Facilities and maintenance: The community’s public spaces and grounds are consistently described as clean and well-kept. Apartment quality is generally praised for modern finishes and safety features; however, there is variability at the unit level. Some reviewers described maintenance and housekeeping delays or omissions in individual apartments, and there are isolated sanitation and pest-control concerns tied to specific units and amenities. Reviewers also cited occasional construction or systems issues (for example, hot-water interruptions and door-hardware safety gaps) that affected resident comfort and required follow-up.

Management, communication, and costs: Admissions and sales personnel received frequent praise for helpful tours and an accommodating move-in process. Several families called out specific staff members for strong leadership and responsiveness. Conversely, there are repeated comments about rising fees and perceptions that services have diminished after occupancy growth, including discontinued door/alert services and reduced dining service levels. Communication gaps were noted in clinical and post-incident situations — especially around final summaries and family follow-up after serious events — and a number of reviewers expressed frustration at unclear billing or additional charges.

Notable patterns and guidance for families: Strengths cluster around staff engagement, social programming, campus appearance, and multi-level clinical capabilities. Patterns of concern center on operational consistency: dining quality and menu reliability, unit-level housekeeping and maintenance, staffing continuity, and clear communication and billing transparency. Prospective residents and families who prioritize active social life and compassionate staff will likely find many positives here; those who place a premium on consistently high culinary offerings, tightly reliable unit housekeeping, and transparent, stable pricing should raise specific questions during touring and contract review. It is advisable to request up-to-date information on staffing levels, meal plans and sample menus, housekeeping and maintenance service schedules, pest-control practices, emergency button coverage, and recent resident-family communications before making a decision.

About The Enclave at Anthem Senior Living

The Enclave at Anthem Senior Living sits at 42015 N Venture Drive in Anthem, a part of northern Phoenix, Arizona, and offers several care options-it's set up for independent living, assisted living, memory care, and has townhomes available for those who want that. The community has 159 apartments with choices like studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom layouts, plus some newer townhomes, and for memory care residents, studio apartments are set aside to help with their specific needs. Seniors get to pick what fits their situation best, whether they need help with bathing, dressing, or medication, or if they want to live a more independent style of life but want help close by.

There's a beauty salon and barber, a courtyard with walking paths, greenhouse, theater, library, sky lounge and deck, and a large community room-so there's always somewhere to go and something to do, and with a private dining room, residents can have meals with guests or celebrate special days in a quiet spot if they want. Meals are served three times a day for assisted living and memory care, focusing on variety and some regional foods, though a few folks have said the food can vary in quality. Residents can use the swimming pool, hot tub, wellness center with exercise equipment, and take part in activities both inside and outside the community. Housekeeping is weekly, though there have been some reports that it could be better, and apartment maintenance is included.

The Enclave provides scheduled transportation, daily activities, a library for quiet reading, medication management, and has a 24-hour emergency response system and all-hours staff. The staff takes pride in offering medical help when needed, and hospice care can be coordinated for those who need it. Memory care at The Enclave includes programs to help reduce confusion and prevent wandering, using personalized care plans for people with Alzheimer's or dementia. Residents who want more independence but still want the community life can take part in wellness programs, social gatherings, and use the walking paths or community views.

The whole setting feels safe and clean, and people say the place is well-kept and that staff are caring. The community puts time into social and educational activities, aiming to help residents stay active, keep their minds working, and find enjoyment every day, stressing the importance of including everyone. There are resources on the facility's website, including photos, virtual tours, a FAQ, and information about scheduled visits. Folks interested can get help through a local advisor or reach out to the sales director Dan to ask about living options, and while information online can be limited, there's enough to get most questions answered. The Enclave at Anthem Senior Living has earned high marks in resident and family ratings for its environment and services, with a record for reliable care, though like anywhere, experiences can vary and it's smart to read reviews and visit to get a full picture.
