    Compassionate attentive staff and care

I'm very pleased with Homestead on 18th/Ocotillo House - compassionate, professional staff and attentive owners have created a clean, warm, family-like home with fresh, home-cooked meals, meaningful activities, beautiful grounds, and spacious rooms. Communication is proactive, calls are answered promptly, and they provided thoughtful end-of-life/hospice support; my father feels safer and healthier here, so I recommend this community.

    About The Homestead on 18th

The Homestead on 18th sits at 5238 E 18th St in Tucson, quietly blending into the neighborhood with its simple charm and easy pace, and you can look up more at arizonahomestead.com if you want to dig deeper. This place holds a state license, number AL5742H, for up to 10 residents, operating as an active assisted living home from November 2020 through October 2024, and they've been serving Tucson seniors for 20 years already, building up a verified customer review rating of 4.7. Folks here get a choice of private rooms with names like the Fireside Room with a fireplace, the Descanso Rooms, Fountain Side Master and Vista rooms, Golf View Room, Arizona Shadows, Acacia Shadows, the Patio Room, and the Homestead Suite-a 340 square foot two-room spot with its own bathroom and a big walk-in closet, plus some rooms have patios, mountain or golf course views, showers, and large windows for lots of light. The Homestead on 18th does its best to make everyone feel at home, offering a range of amenities, though full details aren't listed out, but you can expect all the basics and likely some extras that come with years of experience.

They cover almost everything when it comes to care options, whether someone needs Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Home Care (Non-Medical), Adult Day Services, Long-Term Care or Skilled Nursing, Home Health Care (that's Medicare-Certified), or Hospice. The team, which includes a President/CEO, Vice President of Operations, and a Manager, is committed to expert, caring help and focuses on giving each person not just safety, but some independence, respect, and choice, trying to make the place more like a real home than anything else. Their caregivers get regular training for quality of life, how to handle medicines, safe work habits, and memory issues, and they're certified for three levels of care: supervisory, personal, and directed, which means they can adapt to most changes in a person's needs as time goes on. The Homestead on 18th puts a lot of effort into creating a place that feels supportive and warm, where love, security, happiness, and quality of life matter, and where the staff aims to help every resident enjoy their day with dignity and as much independence as possible. The environment here is calm, everyone knows each other, and the community values those small daily choices that help seniors keep their sense of self.
