    Gracious staff and excellent care

I was very pleased with my experience - the staff (nurses, therapists, caregivers) were gracious, hands-on and responsive, the building was clean and welcoming, and the meals were good. Daily activities, skilled therapy and housekeeping kept my loved one comfortable, and communication with family was excellent. I would definitely recommend this facility.

    Summary of reviews

Care quality at this facility appears highly variable. Many families and visitors praised individual caregivers, nurses, and therapists for compassionate bedside manner, skilled rehabilitation work, and attentive end-of-life support. At the same time, a number of accounts point to clinically important lapses: delayed assistance, missed turning schedules that affected skin integrity, and inconsistencies in incontinence care. These issues are described as stemming from operational problems rather than isolated clinical errors, suggesting that staffing and workflow constraints are a recurring contributor to uneven care.

Staffing and culture show a similar split. Positive descriptions emphasize hands-on, helpful staff who communicate effectively with families and coordinate care across disciplines. Conversely, reviewers also described short staffing, slow call-bell responses, and concerns about staff training and supervision. Several comments raise issues with administrative tone and transparency; families reported difficulty with some managers and front-office personnel, including confusion over discharge decisions and Medicare/Medicaid billing processes.

Dining and therapy services are likewise mixed. Therapy services and rehabilitation programming receive consistent praise for being thorough and effective, with some reviewers calling out skilled therapists and a strong rehab focus. Dining experiences range from high-quality, well-prepared meals to complaints about cold food, weight loss, and inconsistent portioning or meal delivery. Housekeeping and common-area cleanliness are often noted positively, but sanitation and odor concerns in some resident areas and inconsistent restroom/commode maintenance were also reported.

Activities and facilities: daily activities and a welcoming lobby were highlighted as strengths, and several families found the building clean and inviting. At the facility level there are physical-plant issues to consider: an older building layout, darker or cramped spaces, and some maintenance problems such as broken bed frames or mattress fit issues. Equipment-related concerns (including oxygen-device management and commode maintenance) were reported and connected to safety or comfort complaints.

Management, operations, and notable patterns: reviewers describe inconsistent front-office organization and variable responsiveness to family inquiries. There are also concerns about discharge planning and the safety of releases or transitions, which some families viewed as rushed or inadequately communicated. Taken together, the reviews suggest a polarized experience—some residents and families received coordinated, compassionate, and effective care, while others encountered operational shortcomings that impacted safety, sanitation, and overall satisfaction.

For prospective residents and families: consider visiting during different times of day to observe staffing levels, ask for details about rehabilitation schedules and average therapy minutes, review the facility's policies on turning/incontinence care and equipment maintenance, and clarify discharge and billing processes with administration before admission. These focused questions can help determine whether the facility’s strengths align with an individual resident’s needs and whether operational gaps are being actively addressed.
