    Home-like facility, friendly professional staff

I'm very pleased with this home-like facility - the staff treated us like family, were friendly, helpful and professional (Megan, Princess, Rhonda), and therapy and nursing went above and beyond. Rooms were clean, administration responsive, and I'd recommend them.

    Summary of reviews

The reviews present a mixed but generally constructive view of The Springs of Broadway Health & Rehabilitation. Many families highlight strong clinical and rehabilitative outcomes, particularly after events such as stroke or limb amputation, and describe measurable improvements in mobility, speech and independence. Therapy staff and nursing aides receive frequent praise for hands-on work that families found 'life-changing' and for helping residents regain functional abilities. Multiple reviewers described the facility as having a warm, home-like atmosphere with staff who interact in a friendly, respectful manner.

Staffing and day-to-day caregiving are major strengths cited. Reviewers commonly referenced compassionate, attentive nurses and aides, individualized therapy, and an environment where residents are treated with warmth. Administration and leadership are also mentioned positively in several reviews: families noted responsiveness from managers and improvements under new management. Admissions and registration processes were described as more efficient by some, and visitors generally reported pleasant, odor-free common areas and rooms during many visits.

At the same time, there are recurring operational concerns that prospective families should consider. Several descriptions point to sanitation and pest-control concerns in resident rooms and uneven housekeeping performance, including trash removal lapses. There are reports indicating delays in staff responding to resident calls, as well as instances that suggest gaps in how the facility handles clinical incidents and communicates with families during escalations. One review described concerns following a resident's death and an abrupt discharge process; these accounts highlight possible weaknesses in transition planning and incident-response protocols rather than a consistent clinical pattern.

Other practical issues raised include inconsistent organization and professionalism at times, and problems with resident property management, including misplacement or removal of personal items. While many reviewers praise individual staff members by name and call out strong teamwork and uplifting activities (singing, inspirational programming), these positive experiences sit alongside operational deficits that could affect continuity of care for some residents.

In summary, The Springs of Broadway appears to offer solid rehabilitative services and a caring, family-like culture led by responsive staff and therapists, which produce positive functional outcomes for many residents. However, families should assess operational areas that the reviews repeatedly flagged: pest control and housekeeping consistency, response times to resident calls, property controls, and the facility's approach to discharge and incident communication. A focused tour that asks about pest-control procedures, staffing ratios and call-response protocols, property-inventory practices, and the facility's incident-communication and discharge policies would help families weigh the facility's strong clinical and interpersonal strengths against these operational concerns.

About The Springs of Broadway Health & Rehabilitation

The Springs of Broadway Health & Rehabilitation is a for-profit facility run as a limited liability company that accepts both Medicare and Medicaid, and the facility does keep track of staff hours including nurses, therapy, and medical staff, with services built around a resident-centered care approach meant to help seniors thrive. The place has a history of low performance with a historical rating grade of F, but some parts have improved lately, and their inspections hold a B-plus grade overall, which shows they've made efforts to do better, and they continue to work on quality improvement. The facility provides skilled nursing care, including total parenteral nutrition, pain management, IV antibiotic therapy, respiratory therapy, diabetes management, mental health support, and wound care, and the staff also helps with orthopedic rehabilitation, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and stroke recovery, so people with many health needs can find care here. They offer memory care, hospice, post-acute care, and help with personal care, medication, activities, and transportation, all aimed at seniors who need support to keep their health steady and maybe even feel more independent. There's a focus on wellness and specialized therapy so residents can work on their recovery or keep up their daily strength; and the facility does offer programs like ARChoices, Living Choices Assisted Living Waiver, and a Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), which helps with the cost and makes sure care matches each person's level of need. They have amenities for comfort, a variety of available rooms for new residents, and they encourage families to come in for a tour, with pricing information and a brochure available if someone asks. The Springs of Broadway promotes programs and activities that help give residents purpose and connection, and while the building has its struggles, there's a clear effort to make a safe and supportive place for people who need more help as they age.
