    Family feel friendly staff affordable

I toured this small, family-feel facility and felt at ease - the staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and caring, and the owners are very accommodating. Rooms are nice and roomy in a beautiful neighborhood, meals are standard American, and they encourage socialization. It's within our budget, and I'm leaning toward having my dad call this home (also a potential option for my mom). Availability is limited.

    Summary of reviews

Overall sentiment in the reviews is clearly positive. Multiple reviewers emphasize warmth and trust: staff are repeatedly described as friendly, caring, and knowledgeable, and owners are called accommodating. That combination has led at least one reviewer to express a positive intent to have a family member (dad) placed there and another to name it as a potential option for their mom. The recurring theme is a small, home-like setting that feels familial and supportive.

Care quality and staffing come across as strong points. Reviewers consistently note personal attention and a welcoming approach from both caregivers and management. Phrases like โ€œfriendly and caring staffโ€ and โ€œfriendly and knowledgeable staffโ€ indicate both interpersonal warmth and a degree of competence. The ownersโ€™ accommodating nature is mentioned separately, suggesting responsiveness at the administrative level as well as among day-to-day caregivers. The environment is described as one that encourages socialization, which supports emotional well-being for residents and suggests staff are proactive about resident interaction rather than being purely custodial.

Facilities and location are highlighted positively. The homeโ€™s small size is framed as part of its family feeling, and at least one reviewer calls the space โ€œnice and roomy,โ€ so rooms/indoor space are not perceived as cramped. The setting is in a โ€œbeautiful neighborhood,โ€ which may contribute to a pleasant atmosphere, curb appeal, and a peaceful location. The small, intimate scale and the roomy accommodations together suggest a residential, non-institutional feel that many families seek.

Dining and activities show a consistent note: socialization is encouraged, but the food offering is described as โ€œstandard American food.โ€ That characterization suggests a straightforward, familiar menu rather than a diverse or specialty dining program. For families or residents with specific dietary preferences, cultural food expectations, or a desire for a more varied culinary program, this could be a limitation. There is no detailed feedback about activity schedules beyond the general encouragement of socialization, so while social life seems supported, the breadth of organized programming is not clearly documented in these summaries.

Management, cost, and availability present a mixed picture. Reviewers explicitly mention that the facility is within budget, which is an important practical advantage. Owners are described as accommodating, reinforcing a sense of responsive management. The primary practical downside cited is limited openings โ€” a predictable issue for smaller facilities: the intimate scale that creates a family atmosphere also constrains capacity. As a result, prospective residents may find the facility desirable but not immediately available.

In summary, these reviews paint St Therese Residential Care as a small, affordable, and well-regarded home with warm, competent staff and responsive owners, located in a pleasant neighborhood. Its strengths are the interpersonal quality of care, the family-like social environment, and comfortable accommodations. The main caveats are limited availability due to small size and a dining program described as standard American fare, which may not meet expectations for variety or cultural specificity. Overall, reviewers appear comfortable recommending or considering the home for family members, with the primary barriers being capacity and dining preferences rather than concerns about care or management.
