    Compassionate attentive care for mom

I placed my mom at Glory Homes during her last months and was very pleased - the administrator and caregivers (especially Omotola) were warm, attentive, and truly went above and beyond with feeding, grooming, last-minute needs and hospice support. The facility is clean, organized and home-like, staff communicated well (videos/texts during COVID) and made a hard time easier. I highly recommend Glory Homes for compassionate, professional care.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression Glory Homes Elderly Care is consistently described as a small, home-like facility that places emphasis on individualized attention and compassionate caregiving. Families repeatedly highlight attentive staff who tailor care plans to resident needs, including support for higher-acuity conditions and coordinated end-of-life/hospice services. Communication with families, particularly during the COVID period, is noted as proactive — staff used texts and video updates to keep relatives informed and involved.

Care quality and staff Care quality is the dominant strength in these accounts. Caregivers are characterized as warm, respectful, and hands-on with activities of daily living such as feeding, grooming, and mobility assistance. Several accounts name specific staff and the owner/administrator for going above and beyond, indicating active leadership and visible involvement in care delivery. The team is also credited with providing spiritual and emotional support during final stages of life, and with creating an environment described as loving and dignified.

Facilities and cleanliness Families describe the facility as neat, organized, and clean, with comments about a pleasant scent and a calm, comfortable atmosphere. The environment is portrayed as quiet and conducive to residents’ comfort, which contributed to family confidence in the setting.

Activities and social programming Reviewers note a home-like social environment with opportunities for music, dancing, and community celebration of holidays. These activities, along with staff encouragement of resident engagement, are cited as contributors to quality of life and family satisfaction.

Management and communication patterns Management presence appears to be a positive factor; the owner/administrator and other leaders are described as responsive and hands-on. Family communication during restrictive periods (e.g., COVID) was highlighted as strong, with frequent updates and accommodation for family involvement. That said, there are isolated concerns about the tone of front-desk or reception interactions, indicating some variability in professional communication at the point of contact.

Notable patterns and considerations for prospective families The dominant pattern is of a facility that delivers personalized, compassionate care in a clean, home-like setting, with strength in end-of-life support and family communication. Potential vulnerabilities inferred from the reviews include a reliance on particular staff members or leadership for the highest levels of service and occasional variability in front-desk professionalism. Prospective families may wish to ask about staff continuity plans, how the facility manages handovers if key staff leave, and to meet reception/front-desk personnel during tours to gauge communication style. Overall, the balance of comments suggests strong caregiver performance and a family-centered approach to care, with a small number of operational areas that could benefit from standardization.

    About Glory Homes Elderly Care

Glory Homes Elderly Care sits about 4.5 miles outside Victorville, California, at 15045 Brucite Rd, in a peaceful residential area where the community only holds up to six residents, so the staff can really get to know each person and listen to what they need and most of the time everyone ends up knowing each other pretty well, which helps folks feel less lonely. They've got both private and semi-private suites, plenty of room types like studios and two-bedrooms, and you'll see the rooms come with simple things that matter, like kitchens or kitchenettes, housekeeping, maintenance, washers and dryers, and cable TV, plus safety features including sprinkler systems and handicap accessibility, so families don't have to worry so much. People get help with daily routines like bathing, dressing, and taking medicine, and there's twenty-four-hour supervision, so you always know someone's around if you need help at any hour, and they seem to put a lot of care into keeping the place clean and safe too, which is something a lot of families look for.

The staff focus on giving each resident the care they need, whether somebody's looking for independent living, assisted living, memory care, or even nursing home services, and that way you can keep doing as much as you want on your own while still being safe, and they're good about helping people get to medical appointments, pay their bills, or handle paperwork like medical claims. The home's small size means residents get a good deal of personal attention, and the environment does feel more like a home than a big institution. Glory Homes Elderly Care has a garden where folks can sit outside, enjoy the fresh air, or visit with others, and the staff encourage social time with group meals, arts and crafts, games, movie nights, and community events so people can get to know each other and stay active.

There are health and wellness programs, transportation for outings and appointments, and extra touches like a salon or barbershop, fitness center, and guest parking for visitors. You'll also see housekeeping, laundry, dry cleaning, personal care help, and someone to help with walking or using a wheelchair when needed. Glory Homes Elderly Care is a California licensed Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (sometimes called an Adult Foster Home, Personal Care Home, Board & Care, or simply Assisted Living Home, depending on the state) since July 2019 with license number 361880762, and hasn't had any serious complaints or citations, which some families find reassuring. They offer memory care with plans made to fit each person suffering from dementia or Alzheimer's, and they'll try to match services to everyone's needs as things change over time. Costs for living here will depend on the kind of room and services you choose, with studio options ranging from $2,500 to $5,000 a month, single rooms at $3,000 to $6,000, two-bedrooms at $4,000 to $7,500, and memory care studios at $4,500 to $8,000.

People seem happy with the services, and reviews give them a good score-around 9.1 or 9.3 out of 10-and they're currently rated the 5th highest among the 13 senior living communities in the Victorville area. The home goes through regular inspections, like the last one from DSS on June 22, 2021, and is known for being careful about residents' well-being and keeping the surroundings tidy. Glory Homes Elderly Care has a supportive community, lets folks pick care options that fit their needs, and is focused on helping seniors stay comfortable, safe, and as independent as possible in a small, familiar setting.
