    Spotless facility, caring attentive staff

I'm very pleased with the care my family member received. The facility is spotless and welcoming, staff are genuinely caring and attentive (nurses, CNAs, PT/OT and social services-Amber was exceptional), communication with our family was excellent, and the rehab/memory-care programs were effective. Overall a solid, reassuring choice I would recommend for short-term rehab or dementia care.

    Summary of reviews

Across the reviews there is a consistent and strong appreciation for the facility’s direct-care workforce. Nursing staff, certified nursing assistants, and therapy teams (physical and occupational therapy) are frequently described as compassionate, attentive, and effective in supporting short-term rehabilitation and daily care needs. Several families singled out social work and discharge staff who went above and beyond, and ancillary teams (culinary, laundry, front desk) received repeated positive mentions. Common areas and many resident rooms are described as clean and welcoming, and recreational and spiritual programming is generally viewed as active and meaningful for residents.

At the same time, reviewers describe several operational weaknesses that prospective families should weigh. Discharge planning and the timely procurement of necessary equipment appear inconsistent; there are multiple accounts of delays or failures to secure wheelchairs, hospital beds, lifts, and feeding equipment prior to discharge. Staffing variability — particularly across shifts — is a recurrent theme and is linked to delays in attending to residents, uneven medication administration, and variable responsiveness. Infection-control and sanitation concerns are noted in some room-level accounts, and there are instances suggesting weaknesses in outbreak management and incontinence-care timeliness.

The facility’s physical plant and maintenance also show mixed signals. While interiors and common areas are often described as clean, reviewers note older wings, uneven room condition, problematic grab-bar placement, and exterior maintenance issues such as HVAC unit covers and driveway deterioration. Dining is similarly mixed: some families praise the meals and dining environment, while others report limited menu variety and inconsistent meal quality or follow-up to ensure nutritional intake.

Management and communication receive both praise and criticism. Several reviewers reported responsive administrators and helpful front-desk staff; others experienced poor phone responsiveness, delayed social-work follow-up, and concerns about billing or insurance navigation that created unexpected financial burdens. Notably, some reviewers strongly recommended the facility for short-term rehab because of the therapy and nursing teams, whereas other reviewers advised caution because of serious individual care failures they experienced.

For prospective residents and families: the dominant strengths are the staff’s clinical and interpersonal care and active therapy/recreation programming. Key areas to evaluate during a tour or intake include discharge-equipment workflows and timelines, staffing levels at the anticipated unit and shift times, documented infection-control procedures, room-by-room sanitation and maintenance, medication-administration checks across shifts, and clarity about insurance coverage and potential out-of-pocket costs. Asking for specific examples of recent outbreak response, a written discharge-equipment plan, and names of primary therapy and nursing contacts can help set expectations and identify whether the facility’s operational practices align with the family’s needs.
