    Kind, attentive staff and caring

I placed my loved one here and have been very pleased. The staff - especially Nurse Stacy and Administrator Joanne - are kind, professional, attentive and quick to respond; management keeps the facility clean, warm, and caring. They provide great meals, transportation and medical assistance, host monthly celebrations with happy residents on their Facebook updates, and I'd recommend this as a loving second home while noting there's always room for small improvements.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression is mixed: the facility receives consistent praise for direct caregiving staff and several operational services, while also drawing notable concerns about management, housekeeping consistency, and certain operational practices. Families frequently highlight attentive, compassionate staff members and point to administrators and nurses who go above and beyond. At the same time, other families describe lapses that warrant careful inquiry before placement.

Care and staff: Many families emphasize strong interpersonal care — staff are described as kind, dedicated, and responsive, with examples of quick follow-up to emails and calls. Named personnel receive positive mention for professionalism and attention to detail. Clinical supports such as visiting nurses and on-site medical assistance are noted as conveniences that many families value. However, there are also concerns about variability in clinical responsiveness and in how some events are communicated to families, suggesting unevenness in care coordination.

Dining and activities: The facility provides regular meal service and transportation to appointments and shopping, which are important practical strengths. Social programming such as monthly birthday celebrations and family-facing social-media updates are present and appreciated. Conversely, several reviewers noted limited overall activity options for more engaged residents and an early or inflexible dinner schedule that may not suit every resident’s routine.

Facilities and cleanliness: Some families describe the facility as clean and well-kept, but others report cleanliness variability and odor concerns in certain common areas. There are also comments indicating lapses in supervision or control of substance-related odors in shared spaces. Accessibility is another practical consideration — stairs and mobility/vision limitations were raised as issues for residents with reduced mobility, so an accessibility assessment is advisable for those with physical impairments.

Management and administrative patterns: A recurring theme is inconsistent management communication and administrative handling. Specific operational gaps were described around property handling during transitions and after a resident’s death; in one instance, family members reported lost belongings and unsatisfactory follow-up. There are also serious allegations regarding theft and mishandling of personal property that some families have raised, and concerns about how certain incidents are escalated and resolved. These points suggest families should ask detailed questions about incident response protocols, property safeguards, and complaint-resolution processes.

What to consider: Prospective residents and families will find that the facility offers strong direct-care relationships, transportation, medical supports, and social events. At the same time, they should perform due diligence regarding housekeeping standards, management consistency, property-handling policies, activity offerings, meal schedules, and accessibility accommodations. An in-person visit, conversations with current families, and clear written answers about incident response and administrative procedures are recommended steps before making a placement decision.
