    Peace of mind, caring staff

I feel peace of mind leaving my mother here - the staff are caring, professional, and respectful, and administration listens to concerns. The place is clean and home-like, with engaging daily activities (Andre is fantastic) and strong rehab/therapy services. Residents seem happy and well cared for; I would recommend it.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression: Reviews describe a facility with considerable variability across key domains of care. Many families and residents note examples of attentive, compassionate staff, an active activities program, and a robust inpatient rehabilitation service; however, a recurring pattern of staffing instability, operational gaps, and uneven oversight produces widely different experiences for residents. The result is a mixture of generally positive rehabilitative and social programming alongside persistent concerns about clinical and environmental consistency.

Care quality and clinical oversight: Reviewers describe both competent, careful clinical care and substantive lapses. Positive accounts emphasize effective therapy teams and measurable progress during rehabilitation stays. Concerning patterns include medication-administration errors and control weaknesses, inconsistent monitoring of vital signs, delays in providing medications or scheduled treatments, and perceived gaps in wound and pressure-ulcer management. There are also repeated accounts of delayed assistance for toileting and hygiene needs and instances where fall response or post-fall documentation and family notification were inconsistent. Taken together, these indicate variability in clinical processes and quality assurance.

Staffing, professionalism and communication: Staffing inconsistency and turnover are prominent themes, with nights and weekend shifts singled out as more problematic. Many reviews praise individual CNAs, nurses, and activities staff as caring and effective; at the same time reviewers describe distracted or unprofessional conduct, poor tone in staff–family interactions, ineffective social-work or nursing leadership at times, and difficulties reaching front-desk or administrative contacts. Communication with families about care changes or adverse events is uneven, and leadership responsiveness appears inconsistent across situations.

Dining, activities and daily life: Activity programming is a consistent strength: residents report engaging, frequent social and recreational options and named staff members who create a welcoming atmosphere. Dining experiences are mixed—several reviewers praise the food, beverages, and portion sizes, while others report limited menu choice, inconsistent food quality, and isolated food-safety or pest-control concerns. Visiting flexibility and a welcoming culture in portions of the facility are noted as positives.

Facilities, cleanliness and operations: Physical plant and housekeeping performance vary by area and time. Some reviewers report clean, pleasant rooms and effective housekeeping, while others describe sanitation concerns, odor-control issues in hallways, pest-control problems in particular units, and dated or crowded shared rooms that limit privacy. Laundry handling and personal-property tracking are frequently cited as operational weaknesses, with missing or delayed return of clothing and linens.

Management and notable patterns: Administrative responses are described as both helpful and unresponsive depending on the encounter. Therapy and rehab leadership receive positive feedback for coordination and results, whereas families describe inconsistent follow-up, limited empathy after adverse outcomes, and gaps in clinical incident oversight. There are isolated, serious allegations regarding medication diversion and staff impairment; such claims are significant and would warrant regulatory review or investigation. Overall, the pattern across reviews is one of high variability: the facility demonstrates clear strengths in rehabilitation, activities, and particular caregiving staff members, but persistent operational weaknesses—especially staffing stability, medication and clinical-monitoring controls, cleanliness/pest control, and communication—pose risks to resident experience and safety. Prospective families should weigh the strong rehabilitation and activity offerings against these operational concerns and confirm current staffing, clinical oversight, and sanitation practices during a tour and follow-up conversations with leadership.
