    Clean organized facility; caring staff

I'm very pleased with my experience here - the facility is clean and organized, the food is good, and the staff (Nurse Michelle included) are kind, attentive and genuinely caring. The PT and CCR teams are professional and encouraging, and staff really spend time with residents like family. It's a wonderful, compassionate place and well worth the drive; I gladly recommend it.

    Summary of reviews

Reviews describe a facility with a clear strength in its rehabilitation services alongside operational and clinical weaknesses that prospective residents and families should assess carefully. The physical and occupational therapy teams receive consistent praise for professionalism, encouragement, and measurable outcomes; several accounts place the rehab program among the facility’s strongest assets. Families commonly describe positive resident comfort and satisfaction linked to these therapy services and to individual staff members who are described as friendly and helpful.

Clinical care quality appears mixed. While many frontline staff are described as kind and attentive, there are recurring concerns about the nursing side of care. Themes include inconsistent staffing and supervision, inexperienced nursing assistants, and gaps in staff knowledge of residents’ abilities and medical conditions. Related safety issues are implied by descriptions of delays in responding to call lights and by concerns about medication-administration processes. Together these suggest a need for stronger clinical oversight, clearer handoffs, and verification of staff competencies.

Dining and daily-life aspects are generally seen as acceptable to good: reviewers mention satisfactory food service and staff who spend time with residents, contributing to a perception of personal attention. Formal activity programming is not widely detailed in the feedback; however, several comments note that staff members take time with residents and that interpersonal engagement is a positive feature for many families.

Facility and infection-control considerations are mixed. Multiple reviewers describe the building and common areas as clean and organized, yet others note aging infrastructure and areas in need of repair or updating. There are also references to shortages of personal protective equipment and related infection-control supply management issues, which point to operational gaps that affect staff and resident safety practices.

Management and leadership emerge as an important pattern. Reviewers cite limited accountability and uneven clinical leadership, which may be contributing to variability in care and to training shortfalls among aides. The contrast between a high-performing therapy team and concerns in nursing and operations suggests uneven distribution of resources, training, or oversight across departments.

For families considering this facility, useful questions to ask include current nursing and aide staffing ratios, the facility’s approach to staff training and competency evaluation, medication-administration and call-response protocols, the availability and structure of the rehabilitation program, plans for building maintenance and improvements, and how leadership addresses family concerns. Overall, the facility shows strong rehabilitative capability and many compassionate caregivers, but prospective residents should verify clinical oversight, staffing consistency, and maintenance plans to ensure those strengths align with their care needs.
