    About Tidewater by Del Webb

Tidewater by Del Webb - Closed sits at 20110 Tavernier Dr, Estero, FL, 33965, a gated neighborhood built for active adults who want a coastal lifestyle, and the community has 380 homesites with a mix of single-family homes and attached villas, many with two to five bedrooms, open floor plans, and modern features like energy-efficient designs, impact glass windows, large walk-in closets, and kitchens with quartz or granite countertops, white maple cabinets, and stainless steel appliances, and you'll see floor plans ranging from the smaller Serenity attached villa with private lanais, two bedrooms, and two bathrooms, up to larger homes with as many as four-and-a-half baths and three-car garages. Many of these homes, like the 2021 model with extra space for a golf cart in the garage, huge food pantry, and a flex room for a den or office, were designed so couples or small families could settle comfortably on one level without fuss.

Residents here enjoyed many social activities with the help of a full-time Lifestyle Director, who set up things like water aerobics, Pilates, line dancing, clubs for books, bridge, and bocce ball, along with themed dinners, art lessons, and more. There are gathering spaces, a library, a big coastal-modern two-story clubhouse covering 13,000 square feet, and places for games and group fitness classes. People spent time in the heated resort-style pool and spa, at the barefoot bar, or on the spacious patio and fire pit, while some preferred the dedicated dog park, the garden plots, the scenic lakes, or the walking and biking trails. The outdoor courts saw folks playing pickleball, tennis, and bocce ball, and there was even an event lawn for larger get-togethers.

The community's Blue Zones Project status reflects its support of a healthy lifestyle, so things stay lively with walking groups, fitness centers, movement studios, and easy access to planned events. Quick move-in homes like the two-bedroom, two-bath Serenity model with 1,542 square feet and an enclosed den came available from time to time, and those needing help could use pre-qualification loan services, virtual, walk-in, or one-on-one appointments.

Tidewater offered not only independent living but also care for those needing support, such as assisted living and memory care, with assistance for daily activities, medication management, meals, and personal care, so whether someone was looking to live independently, needed a bit of help, or wanted a safer environment with extra services, there was something within the community. The location gave quick access to shopping, dining, and Southwest Florida's entertainment, with home models on coastal-inspired streetscapes, and professionally decorated models open for viewing most days, but the facility is now marked as closed.
