    Compassionate staff, excellent therapy, recommended

I was very satisfied with my loved one's stay - the staff were compassionate, professional, and communicative, and leadership was attentive. The facility is clean and well-maintained with engaging activities, good meals, on-site salon, reliable laundry, and excellent PT/OT that helped with a smooth return home; I felt confident in their care and would recommend them.

    Summary of reviews

The reviews describe a facility with a clear split between strong rehabilitation, activity, and some individualized caregiving services on one hand, and recurring operational and clinical consistency problems on the other. The therapy department (PT/OT) and activity staff receive frequent praise for effective rehabilitation outcomes and engaging programming; several families singled out specific therapists, social work staff, and front-desk personnel as especially helpful. Housekeeping, laundry, and certain administrative functions were also noted as strengths by a number of families.

Care quality is uneven. While some residents experience attentive nursing and timely therapy that support discharge home, other accounts raise concerns about medication administration, missed doses, and inconsistent clinical oversight after hours. There are descriptions of delays in answering call lights and slow responsiveness to basic care needs; these patterns are consistent with reports of chronic understaffing and shift-to-shift communication gaps. Families described variable bedside manner among CNAs and nurses, with notable difference in performance between shifts and individual staff members.

Dining and nutrition feedback is mixed. Several families appreciated staff flexibility and accommodations for meal preferences, and some residents enjoyed their meals and gained weight. Conversely, others reported cold or incorrect meal service, limited menu consistency, and concerns about meal timing and portioning that in a few cases were linked to weight change. Activity programming is a relative strength: daily events, religious services, and social activities were cited as beneficial and engaging for residents.

Facility condition and sanitation reports vary significantly. Some reviewers described clean rooms, well-kept grounds, and a comfortable environment; others described maintenance issues (corroded fixtures, missing blinds), odor concerns in certain areas, and pest-control or sanitation issues. Accessibility features and a generally wheelchair-friendly layout, plus a shuttle service, were positive notes.

Management and communication present a mixed picture. Some families praised responsive administrators and case managers who addressed concerns promptly. Others experienced poor communication around discharge paperwork, delayed or unreturned phone calls, limited after-hours access, and inconsistent visitation policies. A small number of reviews raise serious concerns, including allegations of theft and recordkeeping irregularities; several families suggested regulatory review based on those accounts.

Notable patterns: variability by shift and unit, and frequent linkage between staffing levels and care problems. Positive experiences tended to cluster around specific teams or staff members (therapy, activities, certain nurses), whereas negative experiences commonly referenced evenings, weekends, or particular shifts with reduced clinical oversight. Prospective families should evaluate staffing ratios, RN coverage hours, medication-safety protocols, and handoff procedures during their tour. Visiting at different times of day and asking about meal practices, sanitation protocols, and how complaints are handled may help clarify whether the facilityโ€™s strengths align with a prospective residentโ€™s needs.
