    Warm professional home-like respite care

I placed my mom here for respite and have been very pleased. It's a small, home-like facility with warm, professional staff who go above and beyond - great director and owner, timely communication, and personable caregivers (Marie, Miss Hope, Stacy). The place is clean, secure, and comfortable, with good food (gluten-free options), engaging activities, and effective health monitoring. Good value overall - I'd use them again and recommend a visit.

About Golden Age Senior Living Care

Golden Age Senior Living Care sits in a quiet residential neighborhood and runs under the license number 12378 in Florida, with staff available all day, every day, focusing on simple comforts and attentive support, and the place feels more like a small community than an institution-probably because they have a high staff-to-resident ratio and the staff try to make a family atmosphere, which families say is one of the best things. They've got several types of rooms-studios costing around $3,300 and semi-private spaces going for about $2,850, some with kitchenettes if you want to do a bit of your own cooking, and many of the rooms have private baths, full tubs, or wheelchair showers, and you don't have to fuss over cleaning or cooking since there are chef-prepared meals with options for special diets, even gluten-free when it's needed.

There are both indoor and outdoor spaces where residents can gather, do activities together, or just relax. Folks who like to get out for appointments or errands can use the complimentary transportation, and those with cars have their own parking space. They offer everything from independent living for healthy seniors who want their own space but don't want hassle, to assisted living for people who need support with daily needs like bathing, medications, dressing, hygiene, mobility, and meals, with care plans made just for each person. The home care program helps seniors still living at home, with trained aides coming by for companionship and non-medical help. Nurses, podiatrists, and therapists-physical, occupational, and speech-visit to see the residents as needed, so there's support close by if someone gets sick or needs rehab.

Golden Age also has a memory care building built with security in mind, for folks with memory loss or dementia, where residents wear bracelets that sound alarms if they try to leave, and the doors are designed to keep people from wandering off. The staff there get special training for Alzheimer's and dementia, and activities are chosen to be interactive and meaningful, aiming to keep people engaged and dignified. Residents who need more care, like incontinence support, diabetes monitoring (including insulin shots and blood sugar checks), help transferring from bed to wheelchair, behavioral support, or hospice care, can all be looked after with supervision available around the clock. People with more complicated needs, including those who might wander or act out, can often stay thanks to their staffing and safety systems, and the staff check in on health, nutrition, hygiene, and medication.

Respite care is an option if someone wants a short stay, maybe giving family caregivers a break, and the community supports aging in place, so residents don't need to move just because their needs change. There are devotional services onsite and a bunch of social events, with everything set up to encourage friendships and shared experiences between residents and staff. The building stays clean and organized, and there's a focus on making sure every person feels cared for and respected. People can come and take a tour, see what the place is like, meet the staff, and get a feel for things themselves before making any decisions. Golden Age Senior Living Care works to create a comfortable, safe, and supportive place for older adults, with care focused on both independence and health, always adapting to what residents need as they age.
