    Caring clean attentive small facility

I moved my mother into this small, home-like facility and I'm very pleased. The staff are phenomenal-attentive, caring and gracious-while the home is exceptionally clean, calm and not overcrowded. Meals are nutritious and varied, management is informative, and the owners clearly go the extra mile; round-the-clock care, an activity room and thoughtful touches give our family real peace of mind.

    Summary of reviews

Caring Hands Assisted Living Facility II is consistently described as a small, home-like assisted living option with a calm, clean interior and a staff that many families find welcoming and attentive. Reviewers highlight a warm atmosphere, personalized attention, and a sense that caregivers treat residents like family. The facility’s small size and tranquil setting are frequently cited as strengths that support individualized care and easier adjustment for new residents.

Clinical and day-to-day care are generally characterized as attentive and hands-on. Multiple reviewers praised round-the-clock coverage and staff who are accommodating and gracious. At the same time, there are concerns around operational consistency: families reported variability in staff communication and some care coordination lapses. More seriously, one account describes a medication change and subsequent clinical consequences; this type of report points to the need for clear, documented medication protocols and explicit informed-consent practices. Prospective families should verify the facility’s medication-administration procedures, physician communication pathways, and staff training records.

Dining and activities present a mixed picture. Meals are often described as nutritious, tasty, and varied, which is a common positive. Activity resources exist (an activity room and comforting engagement items such as dolls and toys), but several families expressed a desire for a more structured, visible activity schedule and greater frequency of in-house programming. The lack of a published calendar or consistent group activities suggests limited programming scale, which is a likely consequence of the facility’s smaller capacity.

Facility upkeep and management attract largely favorable comments: reviewers note cleanliness, a calm environment, and an informative manager. However, operational weaknesses are noted in contract handling and refund processes in at least one disputed case; families should carefully review admission agreements, deposit terms, and refund policies before committing. Temperature control within the building was also mentioned as an issue by some families, who felt the environment ran cold for older residents.

In sum, Caring Hands Assisted Living Facility II appears to offer a clean, quiet, and personally attentive environment with strengths in caregiving warmth and meal quality. Key areas for due diligence include confirming medication oversight and informed-consent procedures, clarifying communication practices and activity schedules, and reviewing contractual terms and temperature-control accommodations. These checks will help families align the facility’s small, home-like strengths with their clinical and administrative expectations.

About Caring Hands Assisted Living Facility II

Caring Hands Assisted Living Facility II is a family-owned senior home that offers both assisted living and memory care services for older adults. Staff are trained to help with bathing, dressing, mobility, and medication management, including diabetic care like insulin shots and blood sugar checks, and they're around day and night to make sure everyone's safe, so if someone tries to wander or has special behaviors, they've got a secured area with alarms and bracelets that signal staff if someone leaves. Folks can choose between private or semi-private rooms, with nice bedding, dressers, closets, and even private baths for comfort. There are both indoor and outdoor communal areas, including a screened porch, so residents can enjoy fresh air or spend time inside if they want. The meals are freshly prepared, with vegetarian, kosher, or special diets for holidays and regular days too, since everyone's needs are different, and the staff also plan lots of activities like bingo, shopping trips, games, and holiday parties to help keep people mentally sharp and socially active, which is good for the folks who might otherwise keep to themselves. They provide personalized care plans for each person, so if someone needs extra help-like with incontinence, non-ambulatory care, or even if they need to age in place as they get frailer-that's handled with kindness and attention. There's a memory care unit for people living with Alzheimer's or dementia, where staff focus on safety, cognitive activities, and therapies designed for those needs, and they can even accept people who wander or act out. For folks needing short-term care or a break during the day, they offer adult day services. Residents can get therapy, podiatrist visits, doctors on call, and beautician services for grooming. Transportation and parking are available for outings and errands, and there's staff to help coordinate trips to stores or restaurants. The facility meets state licensing rules and lets residents stay as their care needs grow, with categories for light, medium, or heavy care, all in a home-like setting focused on respect, compassion, and dignity.
