    Attentive staff, clean comfortable home

I placed my mom at Cinnamon Cove and I'm very glad I did. The staff treated her like family-attentive, caring and always available-and the owners/administrator are hands-on. The home is very clean, safe and comfortable with porches, a reading room and freshly cooked meals; routine care is included and medical services are accessible. My mom was happier and well cared for here; I recommend it.

    Summary of reviews

Cinnamon Cove presents as a small, home-style assisted living setting with a consistent emphasis on personal attention and a family-like staff culture. Strengths cited across reviewers include engaged caregivers, owners and administrators who are visibly involved, and a clean, homey environment with comfortable common areas and outdoor patios. Many families praised the individualized care, proactive communication during incidents, and safety practices such as two-person transfer protocols. The community also benefits from visiting and on-call clinical resources (internal medicine, nurse practitioners, dermatology, psychology and home-health support), which supports onsite medical oversight and medication administration for many residents.

Dining and household routines are often described positively: reviewers frequently mention fresh, home-cooked meals served in an attractively set dining room and attentive food service. At the same time, there is evidence of variability in meal quality and menu breadth; several families noted limited diabetic and therapeutic-diet options or instances of less satisfactory meals. Medication management is generally handled professionally for many residents, yet there are intermittent concerns about documentation and recordkeeping that prospective families should review during admissions.

The community’s small size and close-knit nature is appealing for residents who thrive with one-on-one attention and quieter social settings. However, programming and activities are a common limitation: structured entertainment and group activities are described as limited, and activity offerings may be further constrained for residents with fall risk or higher supervision needs. Physical plant constraints are another recurring pattern — rooms tend to be compact, some rooms are semi-private without private bathrooms, and several units are not suitable for motorized wheelchairs. These features can limit long-term suitability for residents who require larger mobility equipment or private ensuite facilities.

Operationally, Cinnamon Cove shows strengths in owner involvement and hands-on caregiving, but reviewers indicate occasional staffing gaps and reliance on cross-covering staff (including kitchen staff assisting caregiving duties during shortfalls). There are also isolated concerns about sanitation and pest control in parts of the facility, and a few families described communication or placement decisions that felt opaque. For residents with advanced dementia or complex nursing needs, the facility may reach its care limits and families should confirm clinical scope and escalation plans in advance.

Overall, Cinnamon Cove is positioned as a small, personable assisted living option with strong relational care, good access to visiting clinicians, and a home-like atmosphere. Prospective residents and families should weigh those strengths against constraints around activity programming, room size and accessibility, occasional staffing/documentation variability, and menu/dietary flexibility. Visiting the facility, reviewing medication and incident documentation practices, and confirming accessibility and bathroom arrangements will help determine fit for specific care needs.

    About Cinnamon Cove

Cinnamon Cove in New Port Richey, FL, is a plain but clean senior community with a focus on independent living, assisted living, and memory care, where residents 55 and older can choose private apartments or furnished rooms with features that help them live safely and comfortably for as long as possible, and staff are always around day and night to help with emergencies or needs, making sure folks have a bit of help when bathing, dressing, walking, eating, or transferring in and out of bed, and for those who need a lot of help or mechanical lifts, staff are trained and ready with two-person transfer assistance, so those using wheelchairs or walkers have support, and for those with bladder incontinence or diabetes, there's practical care every day.

Cinnamon Cove has special programs unique to the community, including social, entertainment, and faith-based activities, along with regular outings, a library, cards and games, bingo, arts and crafts, movies, and garden walks, and both staff-led and resident-run events keep people moving and talking, helping everyone stay connected, while those who want religious or spiritual support have devotional services right onsite or can take the bus for offsite ones, and the community's common dining room brings people together three times a day for restaurant-style meals that can be made for allergies or to help with diabetes, saving residents the worry and work of cooking.

There's a separate, secured Memory Care building at Cinnamon Cove for those with dementia or memory loss, and specialized therapies and trained caregivers make sure those residents get both independence and extra supervision, keeping them safe while giving each person as much choice as possible, and staff stay awake 24 hours, with a call system in every room, so help always comes quick, day or night.

Doctors are on-call, with visiting nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and podiatrists able to check in for health needs, and there's medication management for those who need reminders or hands-on help, while aides take care of laundry, cleaning, and hygiene if needed, and for residents who want to keep their own routines, there are independent options with a little extra help on hand.

Meals are brought daily, rides are available for shopping and appointments for a small fee, there's plenty of parking, and bus lines run nearby, so people can get out into town when they want, with outings planned by the community or chosen by residents, and a full range of care means people can age in place, moving from independent arrangements to more support-including adult day care, home health, respite care for short stays, or even hospice-without needing to leave the community if their situation changes over time.

Each apartment offers features like cable or satellite TV, an emergency call button, and the option to add personal touches, while outdoor smoking is allowed in certain areas, shared lounges and walking paths give space to socialize or relax, and the general feeling is neighborly and calm, focused on helping residents live as independently as possible, whether they're staying short-term for respite or making a long-term home, and under new ownership, Cinnamon Cove works to treat every resident with dignity and friendliness, welcoming families and making sure caregivers are trained, ethical, and ready to give support any hour of the day or night.
