    Caring, safe, pet-friendly memory care

I placed my mom here and I'm very pleased. Rosemary and Thomas, who are on-site owners, run a beautiful, well-kept plantation home that's pet-friendly, safe, and offers excellent memory support. The nurse and attentive aides provide loving, personal care and great food, and staff went above and beyond to arrange a quick, flexible move-in - I highly recommend it.

    Summary of reviews

Plantation Retirement Inc. is presented in the reviews as a small, owner-run residential setting with a strong family-style atmosphere. Reviewers emphasize a warm, “loving” environment in a well-kept historic (plantation-style) home. The facility’s scale and owner presence contribute to a personalized, residential feel rather than an institutional one, which many families found reassuring.

Care quality and staff behavior are consistently praised. Descriptions highlight attentive aides, a responsive nursing presence, and relationships characterized as caring and individualized; phrases such as staff "going above and beyond" and "special treatment" suggest a focus on one-on-one attention. Memory-support services are noted, and reviewers indicate comfort and safety for residents requiring that level of care.

Dining and daily life are also favorable in the collected comments. "Great food" and a comfortable environment are specifically mentioned, and the facility is described as pet-friendly. Admissions processes are described as flexible and expedient, with families noting a willingness to accommodate urgent move-ins.

Facilities and management are portrayed positively in terms of physical upkeep and hands-on leadership. The property is described as well-maintained and attractive, and the presence of on-site owners (named in reviews) is cited as a reason for close oversight and consistent relationships with families. At the same time, that same ownership model implies operational dependence on a small leadership team.

A significant pattern requiring attention is the facility’s operational continuity: reviewers mention the facility is closing down. This creates an immediate risk for prospective or current residents and should be clarified with the provider. Given the owner-operated structure, prospective families should verify current licensure and business status, ask about transition plans for residents, confirm staffing continuity, and review written agreements about relocation or refunds if services are discontinued. Overall, feedback indicates high marks for personalized care, food, and facility upkeep, balanced against the practical concern of service discontinuation and the vulnerability inherent in a small, owner-run operation.
