Julie's Retirement Resort, Inc

Julie's Retirement Resort, Inc., also known as Julie's Retirement Resort 1, is a small 6-room senior care facility in Orlando, Florida, that's gone through a voluntary dissolution process in 2014, but before that, it served older adults with a pretty wide range of services and care options. Residents lived in either senior apartments or care homes, and the community offered independent living for seniors who wanted to stay active and social, as well as assisted living for folks who could move around but needed help with things like bathing, dressing, cooking, or managing medicine, and the staff supported veterans too. The memory care services at Julie's Retirement Resort gave around-the-clock supervision for people with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or Parkinson's disease, with features meant to prevent confusion and wandering. The facility also had home care, hospice care, adult day care, and nursing home options, along with independent and assisted living services, so families could find a care type that fit just about any stage of aging all in one place, which is sometimes called a Continuing Care Retirement Community, or CCRC. Support services included financial support, legal aid, geriatric care management, insurance assistance, moving services, physicians, health management, medical supplies and equipment, dental care, transportation, delivered meals, and even special services for behavioral health, adult care facilities, care homes for the aged, and adult family homes. Residents had access to amenities like yoga, therapy, physical therapy, a salon and spa for comfort, and places to gather for meals or activities, which helped keep things comfortable and community-focused and made daily life a little easier. The facility welcomed active seniors but wasn't pet friendly, and while it wasn't perfect for everyone, Julie's Retirement Resort tried to make sure residents had choices for health, comfort, and safety, as well as a way to stay active with some engaging activities.
