    Attentive staff and thriving resident

My mother has lived here for years and I'm truly glad we chose it - the staff are consistently attentive, caring, and treat residents with dignity, and communication/response is excellent. The updated, bright common areas feel like home, there are plentiful activities, and the dining is very good, so she's happy, social, and thriving. Clean, well-run, and welcoming - great peace of mind for our family.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression: Fellowship at the Fairway presents as a large, campus-style assisted living community with well-kept grounds, attractive outdoor spaces, and a broad menu of on-site amenities. Many families describe a welcoming atmosphere, active common areas, and a strong sense of community among residents. The facility offers a mix of apartment-style living and more clinical, higher-care units, which accommodates a range of care needs.

Care and staff: A dominant theme across accounts is the quality of interpersonal care. Reviewers frequently describe caregiving and nursing staff as kind, respectful, and attentive; many note long staff tenure and rapid responsiveness to call lights or urgent needs. Families report person-centered interactions and dignity-preserving assistance. That said, there are inconsistent experiences reported around operational responsiveness in a minority of cases — for example, gaps in notification when care transitions or hospitalizations occur — which suggests variability in communication protocols rather than a uniform care failure.

Dining and housekeeping: Dining impressions are mixed. Numerous residents and family members praise the food and dining atmosphere, noting organized dining areas and meal-delivery options for residents who need them. Others describe limited menu variety and occasional cold or bland meals. Housekeeping is generally included and often described as thorough; however, there are intermittent complaints about inconsistent cleaning detail in particular areas and isolated sanitation concerns. Prospective residents should confirm housekeeping schedules and menu examples during a visit.

Activities and amenities: Activity programming is a clear strength. The community offers regular social and recreational options — exercise classes, bingo, trivia, card games, church services, movie nights, crafts, and outings — and maintains multiple amenity spaces such as a library, game room, beauty shop, and small retail areas. Outdoor seating, screened porches, and courtyard spaces further support socialization and resident wellbeing.

Facilities and maintenance: Physically the campus is described as pleasant and well landscaped, though several reviewers note that some buildings and unit layouts are older or hospital-style, which can affect apartment features (for example, limited kitchenettes or no stove). There are reports of maintenance responsiveness for weather-related and building repairs, but also a few concerns about pest-control and mold in individual units; these should be checked directly during a tour.

Management, operations and notable patterns: Operationally, the facility receives mixed marks. Many families commend administrative staff for clear communication and prompt problem resolution, while others describe inconsistent notification practices, secrecy or difficulty obtaining information, and concerns about how personal-property and financial matters are handled. There are allegations of missing personal property and delays in deposit refunds; these are serious issues that deserve direct clarification with leadership and documentation. Additionally, some reviewers describe a busy, clinical hallway environment at times (attendants performing visible workflows in corridors), which may reflect staffing patterns and workflow design rather than resident-level care quality.

Bottom line and suggested focus areas for visitors: Fellowship at the Fairway appears to offer strong social programming, a caring staff base, and an attractive campus, making it a fit for families prioritizing activity, community, and attentive personal care. Prospective residents and families should tour multiple unit types to assess kitchenette and laundry access, review sample menus and an activity calendar, ask for housekeeping and pest-control policies, request details on family-notification and incident reporting procedures, and obtain written clarification of financial/ deposit refund policies. Direct conversations with nursing leadership about staffing levels and notification protocols will help clarify the consistency of care and administrative follow-through.
