    Attentive nurses, excellent family-like care

I'm pleased with the turnaround under new management - staff have been caring and attentive, especially nurses Sarah, Jennifer and Niki and Mr. Fred, who helped us. They treat my aunt like family, keep us promptly informed, offer flexible short-stay options, and provide excellent customer service; I'm satisfied with the care.

    Summary of reviews

The reviews for this facility describe a mixed picture, with clear strengths in individualized caregiving and substantial operational concerns in several clinical and administrative areas. On the positive side, many family members and residents describe nursing staff who are caring and attentive, with specific nurses and staff singled out for helpful, compassionate interactions. The facility offers flexible short-stay options and, following a recent management change, several reviewers reported improved responsiveness, more timely answers to questions, and a more welcoming admissions experience. Family communication โ€” including proactive notifications after incidents such as falls โ€” is cited as a consistent strength by those who had positive experiences.

Clinical-care patterns are inconsistent across reports. Some reviewers praised attention to daily care needs such as showers, grooming, and routine observations; others raised concerns about delays in recognizing or treating medical conditions (for example, delayed identification of blood-sugar issues) and about challenges with transfers and mobilization. There are recurring references to pressure-injury (bedsores) concerns and to weight- and hydration-related issues, indicating potential gaps in ongoing clinical monitoring and nutrition oversight for higher-acuity residents. Medication administration and inventory controls were also flagged โ€” missing or mixed-up medications and comfort-kit items appeared in multiple accounts, suggesting the need for tighter medication-management processes.

Operationally, reviews point to several administrative weaknesses. Communication from staff and management is described as uneven, with examples of unanswered calls and promised meetings that were not scheduled. Billing and financial questions were frequently described as unresolved or slow to be addressed. Laundry and personal-possessions management were another recurring theme: clothing mix-ups, missing items, and difficulties tracking residentsโ€™ belongings were noted. There are also reports raising concerns about cleanliness and odors in parts of the facility and about staff organization and attentiveness on some shifts, including observations of staff distraction or inconsistent task completion.

A notable pattern is the apparent effect of recent leadership change. Multiple reviewers stated that care and customer service improved after management turnover and the arrival of a new nursing director; several recommend the facility based on these more recent interactions. At the same time, there remain serious allegations of property loss and mishandling that families raised, which would warrant investigation and clearer resolution protocols. Coordination with outside contractors and vendor responsiveness was described as inconsistent, contributing to perceptions of variable operational reliability.

For families evaluating this facility, the salient points are the potential for very good, compassionate day-to-day caregiving alongside documented operational and clinical control issues that have affected some residents. If considering placement, prospective residents and families should specifically evaluate medication-management processes, wound- and skin-care protocols, laundry and personal-possessions safeguards, billing practices, and how the current leadership team documents and responds to clinical incidents. Arranging a meeting with nursing leadership, requesting recent inspection or quality reports, and asking for written policies on transfers, medication reconciliation, and personal-property handling would help clarify whether the facilityโ€™s recent improvements are sustained and sufficient for the prospective residentโ€™s needs.
