    Grateful for attentive, caring staff

I placed my mom at Enrich @ 519 and I'm very grateful. Executive Director Kimberly Simmons and the family-owned team are attentive, caring, and communicative, giving personalized attention and quick responses to medical and emotional needs. The small, gated facility is clean, secure and homey with good meals, on-site services (PT, podiatrist, barber, salon), a lively activities calendar, and staff who consistently go the extra mile. I feel my mom is safe, happy, and well cared for and would recommend this center.

    Summary of reviews

Enrich @ 519 presents as a small, family-owned assisted living community with several strengths oriented around personalized, hands-on care. Staff are frequently described as compassionate, attentive and willing to go the extra mile; families highlight low staff turnover, rapid responses to medical and emotional needs, and an executive leadership presence that can be reassuring. The community offers on-site clinical supports such as physical therapy and podiatry, memory-care–certified personnel, and routine personal services including an upstairs salon and visiting barber. These features, combined with a secure, gated site and hotel-style private rooms, contribute to a perception of good value for residents who require regular assistance.

Dining and activities are a mixed picture. Multiple accounts praise good meals, friendly kitchen staff and an active on-site calendar that includes games, movie nights and themed evenings. At the same time, some families describe limited variety and reliance on prepared/processed items, and others note that activity options have been constrained at times by infection-control measures and staffing. Off-site outings are limited, and the facility does not appear to prioritize frequent external trips, which may matter for families seeking more community engagement opportunities.

The physical plant is described as clean in common areas, undergoing renovation in places, and broadly maintained, but it is also characterized as an older, modest building rather than a luxury property. Room sizes tend to be small studio formats without kitchenettes; some reviewers noted outstanding repairs and maintenance delays. Site features such as a hillside location and local traffic can make access more difficult for visitors, and outdoor space is limited.

Management and operational consistency are notable areas of divergence among families. While the owner and some leaders are praised for devotion and personalized attention, others describe inconsistency in supervision when leadership is not present, communication shortfalls, and slow administrative follow-through (including billing/refund responsiveness). These operational gaps coexist with generally positive descriptions of front-line staff behavior, suggesting a distinction between direct care quality and back-office or managerial practices.

Overall, Enrich @ 519 may suit prospective residents who prioritize hands-on, compassionate caregiving, on-site clinical services, and a smaller, family-run environment at a value-oriented price point. Families that require robust off-site programming, larger living spaces, luxury finishes, or consistent high-level administrative responsiveness should investigate those specific areas during a tour and ask targeted questions about maintenance plans, activity scheduling, and communication protocols.

    About Enrich @ 519 - Senior Living

Enrich @ 519 - Senior Living sits at 519 Lawrenceville St NW in Norcross, Georgia, and offers care for older adults in a private, home-style setting with room for no more than ten residents at a time, which means everyone gets personal attention, and nobody feels like just a number, and that does a lot for making a place feel like home, and for the folks who need help with daily activities like bathing, dressing, getting around, or taking medicine, there are trained staff around who help out, but still give space when someone wants it, and they cover lots of care levels, too, including independent living for those who don't need much daily help, assisted living for folks who want support with meals and chores but wish to keep a bit of independence, and specialized memory care for people with dementia or Alzheimer's, where routines and spaces help prevent wandering or confusion, and there's also skilled nursing, so there's medical staff on hand around the clock for people who need more hands-on care or help with wounds, recovery, or therapy.

This community stands out as Norcross's highest-rated senior living spot, with an 8.8 community score, and they give residents private, studio-style rooms, fully furnished with a kitchenette and cable TV, phone, and Wi-Fi, and because they cap the resident list at ten, it means quieter halls, more shared moments, and safer spaces, which parents and children alike often wish for in these later years, and the outside feels safe too because of the rod iron fence, which keeps folks secure without making it feel like anyone's locked away, and there's a garden, a courtyard with walking paths, an outdoor patio, and even special areas for meditation or art, so people can sit and think or try something new, and social programming is a big push here, with a dedicated activity director arranging everything from field trips and art classes to community group activities, so there's always a reason to get out of your room if you want some company.

There's support for those with pets, so seniors can bring cats or dogs along, and for those who like spiritual support, there are Catholic and Protestant devotional services, plus visiting chaplains now and then, and anyone who likes to eat with others can join in on guest meals served by a professional chef through their Fresh Dining program, which covers special diets like vegan, gluten-free, or low sodium, while residents who want quiet meals can have room service, too, and if someone likes beauty routines, there's a salon on site. Inside, common spaces like a small library, an arts and crafts center, and a piano or organ fill up time between daily routines, and there's always someone nearby if anyone needs help with housekeeping, laundry, or just a friendly word.

Memory care here includes sensory programs like snoezelen and reminiscence therapy, while their mental wellness program tries to keep the brain as healthy as the body, and there's always a watchful eye out to keep everyone safe, especially folks who sometimes forget their way, and staff are trained to support seniors with needs ranging from simple housekeeping to hands-on help with grooming, transfers, nail or dental care, and medication management, and for families who need a break, respite care offers short-term stays, giving caregivers a rest.

Enrich @ 519's goal leans toward creating a family feel, one that respects privacy but doesn't let anyone feel alone, giving organized routines to help with safety, and keeping an eye on both mental and physical wellness, while move-in coordination helps new residents settle in, and both community- and resident-led activities mean there's lots of flexibility, so people can join as much or as little as they like. This place was added as a member in 2024, is part of the Shekinah Home group, goes by names like Adult Foster Homes or Personal Care Homes in some states, and's really for anyone looking for a small, close-knit senior community that runs the full range from active living to end-of-life care, without crowding or impersonal routines.
