    Welcoming, professional care and support

I felt welcomed from move-in - the administration, nurses, CNAs and rehab team were professional, caring and responsive, and communication was excellent. The facility is clean, modern and comfortable, with good meals, engaging activities and on-site therapy that kept my mom active and supported. Overall I'm very satisfied and would recommend this community to other families.

    Summary of reviews

The reviews indicate a facility with meaningful strengths in short-term rehabilitation and certain clinical services, but also persistent operational weaknesses that families should evaluate. Many reviewers praised the rehab services, on-site therapy gym, and individual caregivers who delivered compassionate, coordinated care and facilitated smooth transitions home. The facility's renovated areas, outdoor courtyard, dining spaces, and memory-care unit received positive comments, and several families described attentive case managers, wound-care specialists, and staff who accommodated special dietary requests.

Conversely, staffing consistency is a recurrent concern. Multiple accounts describe staffing shortfalls on nights and weekends that manifest as long waits for nurse attention, delayed medication administration, and unaddressed call-button alerts. These lapses are connected in some reviews to safety issues such as falls, delayed oxygen or testing, and emergency transfers. Medication-management gaps (missed doses, abrupt discontinuations, or delays) and uneven training around dementia-related aggressive behaviors were frequently cited as clinical risks that warrant careful inquiry by prospective families.

Dining and rehabilitation impressions are mixed. Several families found meals high quality and the kitchen responsive to allergies or preferences, while others noted inconsistent meal composition and seasoning relative to dietary restrictions. Rehabilitation earned strong endorsements from those who received focused PT/OT, though some families experienced therapy plans that lacked functional lower-extremity focus or that did not meet recovery expectations.

Facility condition and sanitation were described as a contrast between well-maintained public areas and intermittent problems in some resident rooms or bathrooms. Reviewers described odor concerns, room-cleanliness variability, and pest-control or ventilation issues in certain units. These environmental concerns, coupled with cited lapses in incontinence-care and linen change timeliness, indicate variability in housekeeping and clinical-support processes.

Management and communication present a mixed picture. Several reviewers commended accessible administrators and proactive unit managers who addressed concerns, while others described difficulty obtaining final bills, unanswered phone calls, lost or mishandled personal items, and slow administrative follow-up. There are also allegations of theft and personal-property mishandling that families should consider as they evaluate safeguards for valuables.

Overall, this facility may be a good fit for individuals seeking short-term, therapy-focused stays with active engagement from on-site rehab teams and responsive caregivers. However, prospective residents and families should directly assess staffing levels during nights and weekends, medication-administration protocols, fall-prevention measures (including bed alarms and transfer safety), infection-control and pest-management practices, dementia-care training for staff, and procedures for handling personal property and billing. Those considering long-term or memory-care placements should weigh the positive reports about the memory unit against the inconsistency in staffing and hygiene-related practices described by other families.
