    Attentive staff and clean facility

I had a very good experience here. The nurses, CNAs, and caregivers were caring, professional, and attentive; activities, worship services, and events kept residents engaged. The facility is clean, well-lit, single-floor with courtyard and accessible dining, and meals were hot and plentiful. Administration, rehab staff, and social services were responsive and helped with Medicaid/Medicare and family updates - I would recommend this place for short-term rehab or ongoing care.

    Summary of reviews

Reviews of Caseyville Nursing & Rehab present a mixed but distinct pattern: many families praise the caregiving teams, therapy services, and activity programming, while others describe operational and facility-level problems that have a measurable impact on resident experience.

Care quality and staff: A substantial portion of feedback highlights compassionate, attentive nurses, CNAs, and rehabilitation staff. Several reviews single out individual caregivers and administrators for responsiveness and effective coordination of care; some families credited the facility with successful short-term rehabilitation and regained independence. At the same time, reviewers also describe inconsistent staffing levels and notable turnover. Those staffing gaps are linked to delays in attending to residents, variability in the quality of interactions, and uneven coverage during nights or busy periods. There are also concerns about staff conduct and reporting practices, and there are a small number of allegations of more serious care failures that families expect the facility and regulators to address.

Dining and activities: Many reviewers commend the food as hot and plentiful and praise the breadth of activities, including worship services, holiday events, and family-oriented programming that support social engagement. Other comments note inconsistent meal quality and occasional lapses in dining-service continuity, suggesting the kitchen can perform well but may have operational variability.

Facilities and cleanliness: The facilityโ€™s single-floor layout, bright lighting, and courtyard access are generally seen as positive for mobility and comfort. Several reviewers describe clean rooms and well-kept common areas; however, other reviewers report sanitation and odor concerns in particular areas, pest-control issues related to bedding/laundry, and general maintenance needs consistent with an older building. These mixed observations suggest cleanliness and upkeep can be uneven across units or shifts.

Management and operations: Administration and social services receive praise from families who experienced clear communication and assistance with Medicaid/Medicare processes; leadership changes were noted and, in some cases, associated with improvements. Conversely, recurring themes include gaps in communication with families and callers, weak reception procedures at entry, delays in payroll or sign-on-bonus fulfillment, and refund or billing delays. Several reviewers described inadequate incident-response processes and insufficient family notification after clinical events; these are operational patterns the facility would need to address to rebuild trust.

Overall impression and patterns: The facility appears capable of providing strong short-term rehabilitation and meaningful social programming when staffing and management align. However, inconsistent staffing, episodic sanitation and pest-control concerns, communication failures, and administrative errors form a pattern that affects some residentsโ€™ safety and familiesโ€™ confidence. Prospective residents and family members should weigh the facilityโ€™s strengths in therapy and activities against these operational risks, ask specific questions about current staffing levels, sanitation and pest-control protocols, incident-notification procedures, and financial/HR policies, and consider visiting multiple times (including mealtimes and evenings) to assess consistency before making a placement decision.

    About Caseyville Nursing & Rehab

Caseyville Nursing & Rehab sits at 601 W Lincoln Ave in Caseyville, Illinois, and the place is easy enough to find with their driving directions. The facility provides long-term care and skilled nursing care, and it helps folks who need physical rehab or occupational therapy, maybe after a hospital stay or an illness. There's a special program for memory care, made for people dealing with dementia, and the team there tries to give each resident the personal attention they need, which many families appreciate. They've got palliative care and respite care services too, so caregivers get a break when they need one, and folks dealing with serious illness get comfort-focused support. The staff is trained and experienced, and they do their best to keep a friendly, welcoming atmosphere that doesn't feel cold or impersonal. Residents have access to private rooms that are comfortable enough, and there are large common areas where folks can gather, talk, or take part in activities. The activity programs encourage people to interact with each other, and the outdoor spaces offer a spot to enjoy fresh air and a bit of nature, which helps pass the time. Caseyville Nursing & Rehab stays focused on holistic and rehabilitative services, while making sure community engagement is part of daily life so people don't feel isolated. The facility also has a partnership with the Illinois Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program, which means residents and families have extra support and resources if they need help navigating concerns. You can find more about what they offer on their website at caseyvillenrc.com, or look up their Facebook page to see what goes on in the community, but the main thing is they aim to support seniors in a caring, home-like place with services that cover memory care, rehab, and everyday living needs.
