    Caring staff clean peaceful facility

I moved my parent here and have been very pleased - the staff are genuinely caring and family-like and the administrator is responsive. The facility is new, clean and peaceful with nice rooms (wheelchair-accessible bath, patio, in-room fridge/microwave), three hot meals with dining or tray service, daily activities, and transportation. Care assistance, medication management, housekeeping and utilities are included; it feels safe, homey and well organized, and I would recommend it.

    Summary of reviews

Timber Creek Village Assisted Living of Lincoln is described by many reviewers as a clean, modern, single-story assisted living community with well-maintained apartments and a convenient location near Lincoln Hospital. The physical environment receives consistent praise: units appear new, are wheelchair-accessible, and include in-room conveniences such as refrigerators and microwaves, private patios, and communal amenities including an exercise room, Jacuzzi, library, and recreation room. Housekeeping, linens, and laundry services are included in the monthly fee, which contributes to a generally orderly and vacation-like atmosphere noted by families.

Care and staffing are commonly framed as strengths and areas for improvement. Reviewers frequently describe staff as friendly, caring, and competent, with timely medication administration and assistance available for dressing, bathing, transfers, and shower help. Several families highlighted helpful nursing staff and an approachable administrator. At the same time, there are recurring observations about inconsistent staff engagement and supervision; these include periods when staff appeared unengaged or when conduct during shifts diminished perceived attentiveness. Some families would like clearer, more frequent caregiver-to-family communication about daily care and condition changes.

Dining and activities are important parts of community life. The facility provides three hot meals daily with dining-room seating and tray service when needed. Activity programming is active and varied, with afternoon activities, social events, veterans recognition, bus trips, and spaces for family celebrations. Opinions on food quality are mixed — while meals are provided consistently, a number of reviewers indicated variability in culinary satisfaction. Transportation is available for medical appointments, but reviewers noted fewer options for recreational or nonmedical outings.

Operational and management patterns emerge as mixed. Multiple reviewers appreciated an open-door administrative approach and a smooth tour experience, while others described management inconsistencies and isolated management issues. Financial considerations are salient: the community operates on a private-pay model without on-site skilled nursing, and higher levels of care may incur additional fees; several families identified cost as a barrier. Infection-control measures (notably visitation restrictions during the COVID period) affected access to common areas and family interaction in certain periods.

Overall, Timber Creek Village presents as a well-maintained, activity-rich assisted living option with strengths in resident-centered amenities, basic care services, and a welcoming atmosphere. Prospective residents and families should weigh the community's limited on-site skilled nursing capability, the potential for variable dining experience, and the need to clarify fee structure and communication practices with staff and administration before making a placement decision.
