    Caring, comfortable, homey and safe

I toured Fifth Season with my dad and was impressed - admissions were informative and the staff are genuinely caring, patient, and treat residents like family. The apartments are comfortable, spacious, and homey with private baths and kitchenettes; dining feels social with home-cooked meals, and housekeeping, laundry, salon, and 24-hour care are all in place. The community is clean, safe, small, and active with frequent activities and outings - I feel my dad is well cared for and grateful we chose it.

    Summary of reviews

Fifth Season Assisted Living is consistently described as a small, private-pay assisted living community with a home-like, family atmosphere. The community emphasizes private studio-style apartments that typically include kitchenettes and private bathrooms, and many reviewers highlighted utilities being included and an all-inclusive pricing approach. The facility offers on-site services such as a beauty salon, laundry, and housekeeping, and the layout is generally noted as spacious, accessible, and easy to navigate.

Staff and care receive frequent praise for being welcoming, patient, and compassionate; reviewers describe strong staff–resident rapport, dignified care, and helpful admissions staff who provide informative tours. The facility maintains 24-hour on-site staffing, which contributes to a sense of safety and security. At the same time, comments indicate variability in staffing levels; prospective families should clarify current staffing ratios and how scheduling is managed to understand potential impacts on responsiveness and service consistency.

Dining is a prominent strength: reviewers note home-cooked, social dining, personalized meal options, and a large dining area used for community meals. Several accounts describe meals as tasty and comforting, and that dining contributes to social engagement. There are also observations of inconsistency in meal portioning and presentation—some reviewers felt portions or menu execution did not always match expectations—so asking about meal service standards and sample menus during a tour is advisable.

Activities and social programming are described with mixed comments. The community offers an activity schedule that can include outings, exercise, puzzles, and other group activities, and reviewers reported residents participating actively and appearing happy. However, there are also multiple notes about limited or inconsistent on-site programming at times and fewer outside entertainers or visitors being brought in, particularly when infection-control measures were emphasized. Families should review the current activity calendar, frequency of off-site outings, and plans for external programming when evaluating fit.

The physical plant and management present a balanced picture. Many reviewers found the facility clean, calm, and pleasant-smelling, but others observed cosmetic maintenance needs consistent with an older building (for example, painting and minor repairs). Management and administrators are characterized as forthcoming and accommodating in tours and admissions; the community has also been described as COVID-conscious, which has influenced visitor policies and external programming. Prospective residents and families should ask about the facility's maintenance plan, recent upgrades, infection-control policies, and how visitor policies are implemented in practice.

Overall, Fifth Season appears to offer a small, personalized assisted living experience with strengths in staff rapport, home-style dining, private apartment options, and a family-like culture. The primary trade-offs to consider are variability in activity engagement, occasional inconsistency in meal presentation, cosmetic-age-related maintenance needs, and potential fluctuations in staffing levels. During a visit, clarify current staffing patterns, the up-to-date activity schedule, sample menus, maintenance plans, and visitor policies to determine whether the community’s operational practices align with your expectations and care needs.

    About Fifth Season Assisted Living

Fifth Season Assisted Living gives seniors a comfortable place where everyone gets some help when needed, and the building always feels like home, what with clean spaces and friendly faces every day and night. The staff stays around 24 hours a day, so someone's always close if help is needed for things like bathing, dressing, moving around, or managing medicine, and trained caregivers know how to help with diabetes, dementia, and incontinence, so families get some peace of mind. Apartments are simple, with choices like studios or one-bedrooms, each one offering its own bathroom, air conditioning, cable TV, and high-speed Internet, so residents keep a bit of privacy but leave the hard parts like housekeeping and laundry to the staff. Meals come cooked and nutritious, and guests can join in for a bite as well, so nobody has to worry about grocery shopping or cooking anymore.

Pets are welcome, meaning folks can bring their animal friends, and the whole community is built for easy access, with wheelchair-friendly showers and full tubs. Life at Fifth Season keeps people busy or relaxed, whichever they prefer, since the calendar fills up with crafts, games, music, movies in the media room, and outings for shopping or cultural trips, along with regular religious services and onsite beauticians, so there's always a reason to see neighbors or just enjoy a change of scenery. Safety measures are in place, with secure parking lots and guest spaces, and family can always visit because the doors stay open, day and night.

The staff stays friendly and helpful, making sure everyone feels welcome, and there's a strong focus on letting people do as much as they can on their own, but nobody is left without help if tasks get tough. For seniors who want to stay in their familiar home but need some care, in-home care services are available too, easing the worry about day-to-day living. Fifth Season provides hospice and respite care for families who need short-term help or support, and everyone gets the chance to keep healthy with physical therapy, fitness programs, and regular health checks right at the facility. The aim is for all residents to have a healthy, fulfilling life with plenty of chances to make friends and enjoy every day.
