    About Hearthstone Village

Hearthstone Village in Woodstock, Illinois, is a big, non-profit senior community with 73 beds that covers a lot of different needs as folks get older, so you've got independent living, assisted living, memory care in a secure wing called Traditions, skilled nursing at Hearthstone Manor and The Mary and Carl Mueller Rehabilitation Center, and respite care if a family caregiver needs a break, and because they offer all these care levels, people can stay put even as their needs change and they don't have to uproot their routines or surroundings every time something changes. The campus itself looks nice, with patios, a pond, garden spaces, walking paths, and sitting spots outside, and the apartments come in studio, one-bedroom, or two-bedroom layouts, all with private bathrooms, cable, phone, Wi-Fi, and little kitchenettes if you want to make a snack, and for people who want bigger spaces, they do have maintenance-free duplex homes for independent folks over 55. The staff focuses on respect and dignity, and they keep trained help around 24/7, with a nurse and awake staff always on hand, whether it's for help bathing, getting dressed, or managing medicine, and therapists come in for physical, speech, or occupational needs, plus they can deal with things like diabetic care, incontinence, even non-ambulatory support like one-person transfer, and if someone's at risk of wandering off, they've got secured memory care as well. Hearthstone Village tries to create a connected place by offering scheduled activities, movie nights, trips, music, worship in their Christian chapel, arts and crafts, and all sorts of recreation, plus there's an on-site café, community dining with three meals cooked fresh every day, and if you need special diets, they'll take care of that. There are plenty of ways to keep active, too, with a fitness gym, exercise rooms, a beauty shop, a small library, activity and game rooms, movie theater, even wellness and reflection spaces, and families can visit for activities or support. To make living easy, there's help with housekeeping, laundry, linens, and maintenance; they provide transportation to stores and appointments with a campus bus, and they've got parking for cars as well. What's a little different is the Early Learning Center right on the grounds, where children aged 6 weeks to 12 visit, bringing some spark and intergenerational connection to the place, so seniors and kids learn from each other. The community stays smoke-free, and all the rooms are wheelchair accessible, with easy entry showers, emergency call systems in every living space, and everything set up for both men and women older than 55 in a friendly, safe environment that lets people feel part of something while still having privacy and choice in their day-to-day living.
