    Clean caring safe apartment-style facility

I moved my mom here and I'm very pleased - the facility is clean and fresh, rooms are a nice size and apartment-like, and meals are excellent. Staff (Abby and the team) are friendly, helpful, and go above and beyond; there are plenty of activities like bingo and daily recreation. It feels safe, family-like, and good value - I recommend it.

    Summary of reviews

Cedar Court Assisted Living is consistently described as an apartment-style, fairly new facility with up-to-date amenities, spacious rooms, and a clean, well-maintained interior. Many reviewers praised the environment as home-like and family-oriented, noting a faith-based (Christian) community feel. The physical plant and common areas receive positive mention, and reviewers describe a strong focus on keeping couples together and offering apartment layouts that support independent living.

Staff and care: Staffing is one of the facility's strongest themes. Staff are commonly described as friendly, hardworking, and personable; several comments indicate that employees "go above and beyond" and that leadership (including the director) is accessible and responsive. Medication assistance and routine care tasks are noted as helpful by families and residents, although there are isolated concerns about care consistency. While many families describe reassuring, attentive staff and high-quality day-to-day care, there are also indications of variability in clinical monitoring when residents experience decline; prospective families should ask about clinical staffing levels, care-plan reviews, and protocols for responding to weight loss or changes in eating and overall condition.

Dining and activities: Dining services are frequently praised—meals are described as good to excellent, served in a large dining room, and residents report satisfaction with food quality. The facility offers an active social program with regular activities such as exercise classes, Bingo, music events, and other social offerings; reviewers characterize the calendar as busy and engaging, contributing to a family-like atmosphere.

Facilities and infection control: Reviewers note the facility is relatively new or recently updated, with up-to-date amenities and very clean common areas. COVID-related policies received positive mention, with responsiveness to questions and infection-control measures viewed favorably during lockdown periods.

Management and notable patterns: Most feedback about management is positive, highlighting accessible administration and an involved director. However, there are notable exceptions: at least one reviewer described an abrupt discharge experience with limited advance notice and poor communication. That account, combined with more general comments about inconsistent communication, suggests families should review the facility's written policies on resident discharge/transfers, required notice periods, and escalation pathways for family concerns. Another consistent operational limitation is the absence of on-site memory-care services; the community is better suited to independent or assisted living needs than to residents requiring dedicated dementia care.

Recommendation: Overall, Cedar Court appears to deliver a welcoming, well-maintained assisted-living environment with strong social programming, good meals, and a staff culture that families often find compassionate and responsive. Prospective residents and families should verify clinical oversight protocols, inquire about how the facility manages significant health declines (including nutrition monitoring and medication review), confirm the availability or limits of dementia-specific services, and review the contract terms governing resident transitions or discharge to ensure expectations about notice and communication are clear.
