    Responsive caring staff and homelike

I placed my dad in Lincolnshire Place's memory care and couldn't be happier - the responsive director, primary nurse Shelly, and caring nursing team made the transition smooth. The facility is clean, updated, homelike with a courtyard garden and lots of activities, staff treat residents like family, and I'd gladly bring my own family here and recommend it.

    Summary of reviews

Lincolnshire Place presents as a memory-care–focused community with several notable strengths and some operational limitations prospective families should examine. Review content emphasizes a compassionate nursing team and a supportive leadership presence at move-in; families frequently describe staff who are attentive, encouraging of social engagement, and willing to coordinate hospice, music therapy, and pastoral visits. The facility’s physical plant is consistently described as clean and updated, with a pleasant courtyard and outdoor space, a movie-theater amenity, and apartment layouts that some residents and families find comfortable.

Care and staffing are described in predominantly positive terms regarding day-to-day resident interactions: nurses and caregivers are characterized as kind, family-focused, and skilled at creating a homelike atmosphere that facilitates resident friendships and social engagement. The community’s memory-care orientation and individualized care planning are strengths for residents with cognitive impairment. At the same time, reviewers indicate operational challenges that can affect care consistency. There are recurrent comments about staffing shortages and high turnover, and at least one pattern suggests gaps in fall-prevention and other safety protocols that required remedial measures. These operational traits can lead to variability in responsiveness and continuity of care.

Dining and activities offer mixed, but generally favorable, impressions. Multiple families praise the food and overall cleanliness of dining areas, and the activity program includes crafts, exercise, outdoor time, music therapy, and a movie theater. Other comments point to uneven activity availability and scheduling, so actual daily programming may vary by unit or staffing levels. The facility’s willingness to involve hospice and spiritual supports is a positive aspect for end-of-life and palliative needs, but the community is not presented as a skilled-nursing facility; its clinical scope is limited relative to a nursing home.

Management and administration show divergent perceptions. Some families highlight a responsive director and strong administrative support during transitions, while others describe inconsistent administration and concerns about how the facility represents its level of care. There are also practical considerations about cost and payor policies: pricing is commonly described as high, and the community’s limited acceptance of Medicare/Medicaid may restrict options for some families.

Overall, Lincolnshire Place appears well suited for families seeking a clean, well-appointed memory-care environment with a caring staff and active social programming. Prospective residents should verify current staffing levels, fall-prevention practices, level-of-care limitations (skilled-nursing capabilities), activity schedules, and insurance/payment acceptance during a visit to ensure the community’s operational realities match their expectations and clinical needs.
