    Caring staff, clean, excellent rehab

I placed my grandmother here and have been very pleased: the staff are caring, professional, and responsive, with sweet nurses, aides and excellent therapists who helped my loved one improve. The building is consistently clean, meals and activities are good, and the home-like atmosphere and friendly residents make it a comfortable place - I'd use their rehab services again.

    Summary of reviews

Reviews of Mountain View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center show a clear split between highly positive experiences and a smaller set of concerning accounts. Many families praise the facility for its rehabilitation outcomes, the warmth of caregivers, and the overall cleanliness and atmosphere. At the same time, other families reported operational gaps that generated serious dissatisfaction.

Care quality and clinical services are described positively by numerous reviewers: therapists and rehab services are credited with meaningful patient improvement, and several families said they would return for rehab. Nursing staff and aides are frequently characterized as kind and helpful, and caregivers are noted as well liked by residents. However, a number of reviews point to inconsistency in day-to-day caregiving—ranging from attentive, high-quality support to instances where basic needs were not addressed promptly. Specific operational concerns include delays in responding to resident needs and scheduling gaps around personal care and continence support.

Staffing and management impressions are mostly favorable on interpersonal grounds. Reviewers singled out an empathetic, professional administrator and named staff members who made a positive impression; family engagement and holiday invitations were cited as strengths. Conversely, reviewers also described variability in staff responsiveness and timeliness, suggesting uneven coverage or workflow issues at certain times. One review contained an allegation of theft of a mobility device, which points to potential weaknesses in asset controls and property security that prospective families may wish to address directly.

Dining, activities, and environment are consistently noted as positives. Many families enjoyed the meals and praised the activity offerings as engaging for residents. Multiple comments described the facility as home-like with sweet residents and a caring atmosphere. Cleanliness is repeatedly mentioned in favorable terms, though a few reviews called attention to maintenance and repair needs that affect the physical plant.

In summary, Mountain View appears to offer strong rehabilitation services, compassionate caregivers, a pleasant dining and activities program, and generally clean surroundings. The principal operational concerns to probe further are inconsistent care delivery, responsiveness to basic care needs (including continence-related scheduling), maintenance and repair priorities, and asset-security practices. Prospective residents and families should consider touring the facility at different times of day, asking about staffing ratios and turnover, reviewing care-plan and incontinence protocols, inquiring about maintenance schedules and security measures for personal equipment, and requesting examples of recent rehab outcomes to align expectations with observed strengths and weaknesses.

About Mountain View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center

Mountain View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center sits in a spot where residents can spend time outdoors, enjoying gardens and walking paths, and you'll see folks taking part in activities in different rooms like arts, music, and community gatherings, while the staff prepares meals, including options for special diets, with a professional chef in the kitchen. Residents find furnished rooms with private bathrooms, kitchenettes, cable TV, telephones, Wi-Fi, and air conditioning, and there's always staff around for housekeeping and help with bathing, dressing, and medication, plus a 24-hour call system for emergencies and safety. The amenities go further with a movie theater, business and fitness rooms, wellness spa, a library, outdoor spaces, transportation services, and regular events like movie nights, fitness programs, music, and arts, along with activities planned every day, so there's always something going on whether inside or out in the garden.

Mountain View provides care for people needing help with daily tasks, complex medical care after surgery or illness, or support for chronic illnesses, and you'll notice a team made up of nurses, medical practitioners, certified nursing assistants, and therapists looking after residents, with about 3.3 nursing hours per resident per day, though the nurse turnover's about 46%. Safety's important, with secured areas for those who might wander, and both short-term rehab and long-term care are available, with Medicare and Medicaid accepted. The center uses an interdisciplinary care team approach focusing on both body and mind, trying to keep people healthy while giving them a comfortable place to live and recover. Family and resident councils help give feedback, and staff try to answer concerns and keep quality in mind, though inspection records do show 28 deficiencies, including issues in nutrition, dietary, infection control, and pharmacy services.

Principle Long Term Care owns Mountain View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and as of June 2025, 62 of its 115 skilled nursing beds are available, so there is some room for new residents. The corporate structure involves several owners, with a mix of direct and indirect ownership, and the managerial responsibility sits with both Principle IT Services and Principle Long Term Care, as well as a few individuals. Mountain View holds a 5-star quality measures rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and staff focus on supporting recovery, well-being, and comfort, though there've been some documented problems with staffing and inspection findings, so it's a place where care's available for different needs but the facility's not perfect. Daily routines, individual care plans, and a variety of amenities are there to help residents feel supported while they're staying at the community.
