    Kind Clean Compassionate Exceptional Care

I'm very pleased with the care my loved one received - the staff are kind, considerate and patient, always acting in the resident's best interest. Maria and Pascal were exceptional, nurses were pleasant, the facility was clean with no odors, and they went the extra mile during COVID while helping with phone calls and providing comprehensive, compassionate care; our family is very thankful and I highly recommend them.

    Summary of reviews

Reviews for this facility are mixed but skew toward significant concerns about clinical care and operational reliability. Numerous families described lapses in timely clinical response, including delayed attention to acute issues and inconsistent monitoring after changes in condition. Specific clinical-safety themes include recurrent infections, skin integrity problems (pressure injuries), and report of inadequate handling of glycemic events and nutrition-sensitive conditions. These patterns suggest gaps in wound-care protocols, infection prevention, and chronic-disease management.

Staffing impressions are polarized. Several reviewers praised individual caregivers and nurses for compassionate, patient-centered care and named staff who provided consistently supportive attention. At the same time, other families reported variability in staff competence, instances of distracted or inattentive behavior, and concerns about the tone of interactions with residents and families. Reports of inconsistent assistance with activities of daily living โ€” feeding, bathing, and safe transfers โ€” point to uneven training or staffing levels during certain shifts.

Dining and nutrition practices were another recurring concern. Reviewers described menu choices and meal service patterns that they felt were poorly aligned with residents' dietary needs, resulting in weight changes and inadequate glycemic control for diabetic residents. Communication about nutrition and individual diet modifications also appeared inconsistent, with some families noting poor coordination between clinical and dietary staff.

Facility and environmental issues were mixed. Some visitors described pleasant, clean common areas, while others noted sanitation concerns in resident bathrooms and related areas. Equipment issues such as improperly sized beds and transfer equipment were raised, indicating potential gaps in care planning and supply management.

Management and administrative processes attracted repeated criticism for poor responsiveness. Families reported difficulty obtaining timely callbacks, incomplete or inconsistent documentation, and concerns about privacy and disclosure practices; there were also references to alleged concealment of incidents and dissatisfaction with complaint follow-up. Several reviewers indicated they escalated concerns to external advocates or regulators.

Overall, the pattern shows considerable variability in resident experience: some families reported compassionate, attentive care and effective COVID-era protections, while others described operational and clinical gaps that they found unacceptable. Prospective residents and families should weigh the positive reports about individual staff against recurring themes of inconsistent clinical oversight, communication challenges, and environmental/sanitation issues. When considering placement, families may wish to ask direct questions about wound-care protocols, infection-prevention measures, staffing levels per shift, nutrition planning for chronic conditions, incident-reporting practices, and the facilityโ€™s process for communicating with designated healthcare proxies.
