    Compassionate attentive care, small downside

I chose Living Waters for my mom and I'm very happy with the decision - management is responsive, provides frequent updates, and staff are compassionate, attentive, and respectful of privacy. My mom has gained weight, seems happy, and gets individualized care in a spotless, quiet, family-style facility with private, spacious rooms, lots of activities, and a lovely lake view. Communication and availability from the owners give me real peace of mind when I can't visit. Only downside: dinners could be more substantial. I highly recommend Living Waters.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews for Living Waters Buell Lake is strongly positive. Reviewers consistently highlight high-quality, attentive care and clear benefits for residents’ wellbeing. Multiple writers note individualized attention, compassionate staff, and observable improvements in residents (for example, weight gain and signs of happiness), which together convey that residents are well looked after. Families repeatedly mention that they feel reassured and experience peace of mind because management and staff are responsive and communicative.

Management and staff performance is one of the clearest strengths. Reviews reference frequent manager updates, immediate and appropriate action when issues arise, and overall responsiveness to family concerns. Staff are described as kind, professional, experienced, HIPAA-compliant, and compassionate. Owners and management are portrayed as available and open to communication, which contributes to families feeling informed and included. This pattern of timely communication and problem-resolution appears to be a defining feature that reviewers value highly.

Facility attributes receive consistently favorable comments. The community is described as spotless, quiet, new, well-run, and well-equipped, with a pleasant lake view. Private, spacious bedrooms and a family atmosphere are mentioned multiple times, suggesting a comfortable, homelike environment rather than an institutional feel. The smaller size of the facility is presented both as a positive (closer relationships, family feel, individualized attention) and as a potential drawback (rooms closer together, less expansive campus), depending on prospective residents’ preferences.

Dining and activities show a mixed but overall positive pattern. Homemade meals are praised in several reviews, and the community hosts numerous activities and special events (a fall festival is cited), contributing to residents’ social engagement and family satisfaction. However, the most consistent negative point across the summaries concerns evening meals: several reviewers feel dinners sometimes lack substantial or complete components. This is the primary operational concern emerging from the reviews and is the most actionable area for improvement.

Notable patterns and minor concerns: the reviews include one mention of an inappropriate remark by a resident that was immediately addressed by management — this indicates occasional behavioral incidents can occur in residential settings, but management’s prompt response is a mitigating factor. The facility’s smaller scale and rooms being closer together are occasionally noted as a downside for those seeking larger, more private spaces. Aside from the dinner-quality comment and the facility size consideration, reviewers report few substantive negatives.

In summary, Living Waters Buell Lake is characterized by strong leadership, attentive and compassionate caregiving, transparent communication, a clean and comfortable physical environment, and active programming that supports resident wellbeing. Families often report regained confidence and peace of mind when entrusting loved ones to this community. The main area for improvement is meal composition at dinner; otherwise, reviewers frequently recommend the facility and describe it as good value with reliable, family-oriented care.

    About Living Waters Buell Lake

Living Waters Buell Lake sits out in the countryside on the edge of Buell Lake, where you can sit on a big covered patio and watch the ducks, fishermen, and kayakers, so there's always something peaceful to look at, and there's plenty of room to breathe with just one story and twelve private bedrooms made to feel roomy and comfortable. The facility opened brand new in the fall of 2020 and runs as a family-owned adult foster care home, making family involvement an important part of things, and the motto "Let Our Family Take Care of Yours" really seems to match the atmosphere. Each resident has a custom-built care plan that fits their needs, and a nurse comes in part-time to help the care team. Staff offer round-the-clock supervision, and everyone gets help with daily needs, whether that's bathing, dressing, managing medicine, or just getting a hand from someone who cares, and there's always someone around if you need support. Living Waters Buell Lake tries to keep things feeling homelike, so the private rooms, which some folk call suites, have enough space to move around, and the common spaces are cozy, meant for relaxing or spending time with friends. There's high-speed Wi-Fi, handicap accessibility, pharmacy services, housekeeping, laundry, and three home-cooked meals every day, plus snacks available whenever someone gets hungry, and you don't have to worry about extra fees since the rent covers just about everything. You'll find a focus on elderly adult care, with both assisted living and adult foster care services, so everyone gets the mix of independence and support that fits best. The place has a gentle, quiet feeling with programs to help people stay active through fitness, recreation, and a good schedule of social events, life enrichment options, and educational activities, and you might join in on local community happenings too. Residents can walk outside, sit on the porch, or just take in the view, and with inviting indoor and outdoor spots, there's always a place to relax or chat. Living Waters Buell Lake is licensed (number AM250399708) and aims to create a safe, tranquil spot where seniors can thrive, surrounded by nature and cared for by a trained, thoughtful team.
