    Compassionate attentive memory-care and peace

I placed my loved one here and have been very satisfied - the care is compassionate and attentive, staff are proactive and knowledgeable about memory loss (Ashley and Maria stood out), and the memory-care wing feels safe, clean and non-institutional. Communication is regular and transparent, meals are home-style and dietary needs are met, and activities keep residents engaged. The move was smooth and management is responsive, which gives me real peace of mind.

About Serene Gardens of Rochester Hills

Serene Gardens of Rochester Hills offers assisted living and memory care in a single-story building, and they've got staff available all day and night, so someone's always around to help. The facility focuses on comfort, with a homelike setting, and the rooms come in different sizes like studios, private suites, and shared spaces, and you can even get rooms with bay windows or patios if you like a bit of sunlight and fresh air. Memory care areas are designed to keep residents safe, cut down on confusion, and help prevent wandering, which is important for folks living with Alzheimer's and dementia. The community's not too big, so staff get to know each person by name, and the staff are often described as kind and joyful, which helps make people feel welcome.

Meals are prepared with organic and quality ingredients, with meal options for people with special dietary restrictions, such as diabetes or Parkinson's, and meal service happens in a communal dining room that lets people talk and eat together. There's a calendar full of things to do, like art classes, crafts workshops, music, fitness programs, educational seminars, and group outings, and there are outdoor spaces for fresh air. Residents get help with things like medication reminders, dressing, bathing, and grooming, and there's a nurse on staff part-time along with personal care assistants for daily needs. People who need more help can get incontinence management, help picking out clothes, housekeeping, laundry, and escorted assistance to meals or activities.

Serene Gardens also offers short-term respite stays and can arrange transportation to doctor's appointments, along with move-in coordination. There's all-inclusive rent options, which means housekeeping, linen service, utilities like cable TV, WiFi, intercom, and air conditioning are all covered. The place has kitchenettes for those who want them and provides physical, occupational, and speech therapy through in-home health care, as well as hospice care if needed. Pets aren't allowed, but residents can find comfort in the social activities and close-knit feeling of the place. The staff help with everything from insulin injections and medication management to making sure people stay social and feel like part of the community. Serene Gardens has an entry fee of $1500 and encourages interested families to schedule tours to see what the facilities and community are like before making any decisions.
