    Kind staff, clean facility, recommended

I toured this community and I'm very pleased. The staff are consistently kind, attentive and responsive, the building is clean, modern and well maintained, and rooms are spacious with good layout options. The grounds, courtyards and sitting areas are lovely, and there are lots of activities (bingo, crafts, exercise, movies), a salon, library, PT gym and regular medical attention-meals were tasty with dietary accommodations. My dad likes it here and I'd recommend it.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression: The Arrington presents as a modern, well-maintained assisted living community with a strong emphasis on visible staffing and on-site clinical access. Reviewers commonly described the facility as clean, attractive, and recently built; many highlighted the welcoming tone of the staff and the thoroughness of tours. Physical layout and amenitiesโ€”such as landscaped outdoor courtyards, a secure dementia-care courtyard, a library, activity rooms, a physical therapy room/gym, and an on-site beauty salonโ€”contribute to a broadly positive environment.

Care and staff: Staffing levels are consistently described as robust, with staff visible throughout the building and attentive to resident needs. Families noted medication reminders, regular physician rounds, and availability of skilled-nursing services as strengths. Staff demeanor is frequently characterized as friendly, caring, and accommodating; housekeeping and laundry services are in place and generally praised. That said, there are indications of operational follow-up gaps: some families experienced unresolved procedural issues or identified weaknesses in the facilityโ€™s process for addressing family-raised concerns.

Dining and clinical support: Dining receives generally favorable commentsโ€”meals are described as appetizing with the ability to accommodate dietary needs. The facility offers a cafeteria-style service model, which some residents find acceptable while others may prefer a more restaurant-style experience. Clinically, reviewers noted regular medical rounds and access to skilled nursing when needed; medication management is supported by reminders and staff oversight.

Activities and social life: Activity programming is varied and includes bingo, card games, dominoes, art supplies and crafts, Bible studies/church activities, singing groups, puzzles, and movie or exercise sessions. The community also provides complimentary manicures and salon services. Reviewers offered mixed impressions on the intensity and consistency of organized games and outingsโ€”programming is broad, but emphasis and frequency of structured activities and offsite excursions appear variable. COVID-era restrictions were mentioned as a temporary limiter of group programming in some cases.

Facilities and unit-level considerations: Apartment options range in size and many units are described as spacious with walk-in showers and ample closet space; residents may bring furnishings to personalize rooms. Memory-care accommodations are physically secure and include an enclosed courtyard, but the memory-care wing is configured for single-occupancy only and the rooms are described as small and quite similar in layout. A few reviews raised concerns about bathroom design and fall risk, suggesting the need to assess in-room safety features closely. The overall scale of the community is large, which some families construed as less home-like.

Management and practical notes: Admissions and tour experiences are generally positive and informative, though occasional inconsistencies in presentation staffing were noted. The communityโ€™s all-inclusive pricing model is cited as a convenience and good value by several families. For prospective residents and families, key areas to evaluate in person include memory-care room size and configuration, bathroom safety features, the communityโ€™s approach to outings and transportation, and the process for escalating and resolving operational concerns. In sum, The Arrington appears to offer strong staffing, clinical access, and plentiful amenities, balanced by facility-level trade-offs around memory-care unit design, outing availability, and variability in activity emphasis.

There's help for applying for VA benefits or financial advice for residents, and the staff handles everything with a gentle touch, focusing on keeping people comfortable and helping everyone enjoy their day, whatever level of help they need. The campus is both secure and convenient, with all the basics like housekeeping, nutritious meals, help with medication, and lots of opportunities to join in or just spend quiet time, and in all things, the staff stays friendly, joyful, and patient, making it a straightforward and comfortable choice for senior living.
