    Resident praises caring staff, facilities

I live here and I'm very pleased - the staff are professional, kind and genuinely caring (special thanks to Miss Jessie, Miss Cherie, Miss Kenya and Miss Katie). The facility is clean, secure and well-maintained with roomy apartments, good home-style meals, lots of activities and a warm, positive community; I highly recommend it.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression Trinity Place presents as an older but generally well-kept senior living community with strengths in staffing, social programming, and outdoor areas. Reviewers commonly describe staff as caring and attentive, and many families are satisfied with the level of daily care and the social atmosphere. The facility offers a range of apartment sizes and a continuum of living options, which can suit different needs and budgets.

Care and staffing Care quality is frequently characterized as positive: staff are described as kind, hands-on, and engaged with residents. Several reviewers named individual employees positively and highlighted good interactions between staff and residents. At the same time, there is variability in staff conduct and communication; while many families praise the team and leadership, others cited instances that indicate inconsistent behavior or tone. This pattern suggests a generally strong caregiving culture with occasional lapses in consistency that prospective residents should inquire about during a tour.

Dining and activities The community offers an active calendar โ€” bingo, cards, dominoes, shopping trips, exercise classes, and other social events โ€” and some households appear busy and well engaged. There is an on-site salon and dedicated dining/social spaces that support resident interaction. Feedback on meals is mixed: several reviewers praise home-style cooking and good meals, while others describe variability in quality or note that some care plans include limited meal frequency. Prospective residents should confirm dining schedules and menu consistency for the specific unit or level of care they are considering.

Facilities and operations Facilities are described as clean and generally well maintained, with pleasant outdoor grounds, secure access, and communal amenities such as a large TV and aquarium. However, the building shows signs of age in some areas: reviewers noted clinical-style lighting in certain rooms and dated finishes. Apartment size and layout vary across the community; while roomy one-bedroom units are available, some apartments are small and present challenges for furniture placement and move-in logistics. Operational concerns include uneven grounds-maintenance practices and on-site smoking/litter control, along with occasional maintenance responsiveness issues.

Management and notable patterns Affordability is seen as a relative strength, though some residents have experienced rent increases that prompted relocation, so financial stability and future pricing are areas to review with management. Leadership receives specific praise in some comments, indicating proactive administration in parts of the community. In summary, Trinity Place tends to offer compassionate care, robust programming, and maintained common spaces, but prospective residents and families should evaluate unit-specific conditions, dining arrangements, staff consistency, and current fee schedules during their visit.

    About Trinity Place Retirement Community

Trinity Place Retirement Community has served senior adults since 1979, offering a stable home in the Golden Triangle Region for more than 30 years, providing assisted living, independent living, personal care, memory support, Green Houseยฎ homes, and long-term care, so seniors have many options for living that best match what they need and want, and the community also partners with Aurora Health And Rehabilitation and the Mississippi Methodist Senior Services to provide skilled nursing, memory care for those with Alzheimer's, in-house therapies (physical, occupational, speech, and restorative), and counseling from physicians and psychiatrists. The Apartments at Trinity Place give seniors a choice between studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments, all with private baths, Wi-Fi, cable TV, basic utilities, and the chance for a maintenance-free lifestyle, and some apartments may qualify for income-based rent assistance. Trinity Assisted Living has 52 suites, where residents have private spaces and restaurant-style meals, while Trinity Healthcare provides 24/7 nursing care for people with complex health problems, and Trinity Rehab & Recovery helps folks get stronger after hospital stays. Non-profit status helps focus on care over profit, and the Eden Alternative Accreditation points to a real effort to make daily life more lively and less about routines, so there's always some variety, activity, and something interesting going on, and the staff, known for being helpful and joyful, offer help with things like bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, transferring (including bed-to-wheelchair), insulin management, medication monitoring, oxygen and nebulizer treatments, diet help, incontinence care, and supervision for people who wander. Residents can join worship and Bible study with a full-time chaplain, get their hair cut at the barber or beauty shop, enjoy movie nights, music, games, arts and crafts, field trips, library books, gardening, walking paths, group exercise and fitness classes, movie theater, spa and wellness rooms, as well as activity, game, and arts rooms designed for fun and relaxation, plus there's a community room, indoor and outdoor spaces, and regular social events like birthday and holiday parties. A nurse stays on staff and people can use a fast-response emergency pendant, and those needing help can get it any time, day or night, plus there's meal service with a chef offering all-day dining and options for dietary needs, so people don't have to cook but can eat in comfort every day, and the resident support team covers housekeeping, laundry, maintenance, and scheduled trips-including rides to the doctor-which makes life easier and more relaxed for residents. People who want to stay active can join enrichment activities, fitness sessions, and spiritual programs, while those with mobility issues or conditions like diabetes, Alzheimer's, or incontinence can feel safe, knowing experienced staff are always close by. The setting feels kind and neighborly, with a focus on making each resident feel valued and respected while enjoying as much independence as possible, and pet-friendly policies (with restrictions), an on-site guest room for visitors (for a fee), and access to therapies through Vertis Therapy offer even more ways to make life at Trinity Place comfortable and connected, so every resident truly has the chance to thrive in a caring local community.
