I'm very pleased with this community. My aunt loves it - the staff are warm, respectful and treat residents like family; CNAs, nurses and housekeeping are always present, the building is clean and pleasant-smelling, and activities and communication are consistently enjoyable and informative. Overall a positive, family-like atmosphere.

Summary of reviews
Reviewer feedback presents a mixed picture of Chadwick Nursing & Rehab Center. Positive comments center on warm, personable interactions with many frontline staff, a family-like social atmosphere, and visible CNA and housekeeping presence in common areas. Several accounts describe engaging recreational programming and routine provisions such as beverages and snacks. At the same time, a number of operational and clinical concerns recur across comments.
Care-quality issues focus on inconsistent execution of basic nursing tasks and rehabilitation services. Families noted irregular personal-care schedules (bathing and dressing), instances of missed or delayed medications, and therapy follow-through that does not always meet expectations. Reviewers also pointed to reliance on outdated equipment and paper-based vital-sign processes rather than electronic systems, and the presence of manually operated, non–hospital-sized beds — all of which can affect comfort and clinical efficiency.
Staff and management observations vary. Many reviewers praised friendly, helpful aides and effective bedside staff, and several described clear, informative communication from some nurses or administrators. Conversely, other accounts described defensive or unsupportive management interactions and concerns about staff training and supervision, including a CNA training program perceived as inadequate. A few reviewers raised allegations of restricted family communication and a lack of transparency, which, if substantiated, would be a significant governance and accountability concern.
Facilities and environment are another area of contrast. Positive remarks about clean, pleasant-smelling common spaces coexist with complaints of odor concerns in some areas, dim lighting in rooms, limited climate control (window air units rather than central air), and excessive noise from activity rooms affecting nearby resident rooms. Meal service drew mixed comments: some found food acceptable and timely, while others described missed meals or inconsistent meal continuity. Safety-related notes included concerns about transportation behavior and general maintenance issues (for example, plumbing/drainage and bed functionality).
Overall, prospective residents and families should weigh the facility’s strengths in staff warmth and social programming against recurring operational weaknesses in clinical processes, equipment, environment, and management transparency. For families considering placement, recommended next steps include an in-person tour focused on resident rooms at different times of day (to assess lighting, noise, and temperature), direct conversations about medication and therapy protocols, review of staff training and supervisory practices, and clarification of family communication policies and escalation pathways.

About Chadwick Nursing & Rehab Center
Chadwick Nursing & Rehab Center has served its community since 2005 and sits as a for-profit facility with 102 beds, giving both short-term and long-term nursing and rehab care to people who need help after surgery, illness, or hospitalization, and you'll find it's Medicare Certified and Medicaid Approved. This place offers inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, and a lot of therapies go on here-physical, occupational, speech, and respiratory therapy-so folks working on getting back their strength after things like strokes, orthopedic incidents, or even neurologic and cardiac issues can have the care they need. Suites here come in both private and semi-private layouts, and the memory care units try to keep a home-like feel with calm spaces for people living with Alzheimer's or dementia, which some might find helpful if looking for a quieter spot. Staff is around all day and night, with nurses, CNAs, therapists, and medical directors who help with medication, personal needs, and medical routines.
Rehabilitation is pretty strong, with a focus on using therapy for post-hospital recovery, endurance, and things like sports medicine, plus wound care, cardiac care, respiratory therapy, and nutritional counseling-you can even get personalized meal planning. People get support whether they're staying a while or coming in just for outpatient therapy, and their Transitional Care Center gives a place for short-term recovery. The activity room stays busy seven days a week, and they try to keep folks involved and active with whatever abilities they've got. Chadwick doesn't have a resident council but hasn't said if there's a family council. This isn't a Continuing Care Retirement Community, so once folks need a certain level of care, it might be time to look elsewhere, but for skilled nursing and focused rehabilitation, they've kept their inspection grades quite high and sit with a solid B-minus overall rating, with long-term care mostly getting A or B grades most years. Care here runs under a company that focuses on running these services as a business. Folks can learn more by visiting www.chadwickrehabcenter.com.
