    Friendly attentive staff spotless facility

I toured for my mom and was very pleased. Staff were friendly, attentive and professional; the facility is spotless, bright and home-like with comfortable rooms and tasty meals. Activities, rehab/hospice coordination and visitor reception were all strong. I'd recommend this place.

    Summary of reviews

Community Place Nursing Home is consistently described by reviewers as a clean, well‑maintained, and comfortable facility with a home‑like atmosphere. Many visitors and families praised the physical environment — tasteful decor, a cheerful dining area with music, and attentive housekeeping that keeps common areas and rooms in good condition. Multiple accounts note an inviting lobby and exterior, festive seasonal decor, and programs that create a lively atmosphere (bingo, singing, trivia, group visits, Bible study, and regular outings).

Staff interactions are the most frequently cited strength. Reviews describe nurses, nursing assistants, and front‑desk personnel as friendly, courteous, and family‑oriented, providing personalized attention and timely medical updates in many cases. Several families highlighted positive experiences with hospice coordination, named staff who showed initiative, and staff behaviors that contribute to resident well‑being and engagement. Dining receives favorable commentary as well, with multiple mentions of good meals, pleasant menus, and staff who assist residents during visits.

At the same time, reviewers identified operational and management issues that prospective families should consider. There are consistent indications of variability in supervision and day‑to‑day management, which appears to affect responsiveness to resident needs — particularly for some short‑term or transitional stays. Admissions and insurance handling were noted as inconsistent, including examples of late denials and last‑minute changes in acceptance, and check‑in procedures were described by some as chaotic or unevenly managed. A few reviews also pointed to variability in overall care quality over time, suggesting that individual experiences can differ depending on unit, shift, or staffing levels.

A small number of more serious concerns were raised regarding staff conduct and on‑site safety practices. These include allegations of discriminatory or hostile behavior and accounts that prompted questions about staff safety practices, including vehicle operation and escorting procedures. These items were not the dominant theme across reviews but are significant enough that families should address them directly during a tour or admissions conversation.

For prospective residents and families: the facility shows many strengths in atmosphere, cleanliness, staff warmth, activities, and dining. When evaluating Community Place, ask specific questions about the admissions and insurance verification process, staffing levels by shift, protocols for responsiveness to resident needs (especially for short‑term stays), safety policies for staff driving and resident escorting, and how the facility addresses concerns about staff conduct. Confirm hospice and rehab partnerships if those services are relevant, and observe a meal service and an activity to get a practical sense of daily life.
