    Compassionate staff improved my life

In my short stay I received the best care I've had in three years - the staff were amazing: professional, compassionate and empathetic, kept hospice informed, and truly went above and beyond, which noticeably improved my quality of life. I highly recommend them; very good overall with just minor room for improvement.

    Summary of reviews

The reviews present a mixed picture of care at this facility. Positive accounts emphasize compassionate, professional caregiving from certain staff members, successful short-stay rehabilitation outcomes, and effective coordination with hospice that improved end-of-life support. Individual employees โ€” including admissions personnel โ€” received praise for helpfulness and advocacy on behalf of residents, and some families reported meaningful quality-of-life improvements during their stays.

At the same time, recurring operational weaknesses emerge. Several accounts point to inadequate staffing levels that correlate with delays in providing medications, responding to pain needs, and assisting residents with transfers and mobility. There are also repeated descriptions of inconsistent bathing and personal-care routines and of sanitation and odor concerns in rooms and common areas. Reports of improper personal-protective-equipment use and other infection-control protocol lapses raise questions about task sequencing and food-handling practices.

Family-impacting logistical issues are also noted. Laundry and linen-management gaps were described as creating additional burden for relatives. Admissions and billing practices are a notable area of concern: reviewers describe unclear documentation, unexpected fees, and pressure around contract signatures and collections, which suggests a need for greater transparency and standardized financial communication. In addition, some reviewers described a supervisory tone and staff communication that was harsh or unduly critical, and there are accounts of restrictive memory-care policies that limit certain resident movements without adequate explanation.

Dining and activities information is limited in the feedback provided; however, the infection-control and glove-use concerns implicate food-safety and meal-service protocols and warrant direct inquiry. Facilities-related issues center on cleanliness, odor management, and the consistency of hygiene maintenance in both private and shared spaces.

Overall, the pattern in the reviews is one of uneven performance: clear strengths in individual caregiver compassion and some successful short-term outcomes coexist with systematic operational gaps in staffing, medication handling, sanitation protocols, laundry services, and financial transparency. Prospective residents and families would likely benefit from focused questions during a tour about staffing ratios, medication administration and documentation, infection-control policies, laundry procedures, memory-care movement policies, and billing/contract terms to assess whether the facilityโ€™s current practices meet their expectations.
