    Caring staff, clean facility, recommended

My mom lives here and we're very pleased - the staff are caring and treat residents like family, and the facility is clean, well-maintained with spacious rooms and a lovely courtyard. Weekly doctor visits, daily laundry, transportation, engaging activities, a new therapy space and responsive administration make this a warm, reliable place I recommend.

    Summary of reviews

Reviews for this facility are polarized: many families and staff describe a warm, family-like atmosphere with compassionate caregivers and a clean, well-kept environment, while other accounts raise significant operational concerns. Positive comments tend to emphasize caring direct-care staff, strong therapy/PT services, regular physician visits, routine laundry and transportation support, and active programming including religious and holiday events. Several reviewers also highlighted recent renovations and a generally pleasant courtyard and spacious rooms.

Care quality appears variable. Numerous reviewers praised attentive, loving caregivers and quick resolution of concerns, while others described inconsistent responsiveness — for example, delayed attention to call lights, missed or late medications, and missed meal trays. A very small number of reviews raised allegations of serious medication-administration errors and concerns following a resident's death; these are serious matters that warrant direct verification with facility leadership and regulatory records. Overall, the pattern suggests that care quality can be high when staffing and supervision align, but that outcomes are sensitive to staffing stability and clinical oversight.

Dining and activities show mixed feedback. Many residents and families appreciate the activity schedule, church programs, holiday events, and therapy offerings. Food quality was described as good by some but inconsistent by others; reviews indicate meal-service continuity can be affected by timing and staffing, producing variability in portions and temperature. Laundry and transportation services are noted as operational strengths.

The physical plant is described as an older but generally maintained facility: clean hallways, a pleasant courtyard, and comfortable rooms were frequently noted. At the same time, reviewers point to aging infrastructure in parts of the building — darker corridors, intermittent air-conditioning failures, and limited modern amenities (for example, elevator access in some areas). Several reviewers also raised sanitation and pest-control concerns in particular units or situations; these should be clarified during an in-person visit or by reviewing inspection history.

Management and culture are another mixed area. Many staff describe a positive workplace, high morale, and supportive leadership; families noted responsive administration and good communication in favorable accounts. Conversely, other reviews describe variability in management accountability, inconsistent communication during admissions and incidents, and perceived gaps in incident-response processes. Staffing challenges were a recurring theme: understaffing and coverage gaps were linked to delayed responses, inconsistent bedside manner, and operational lapses.

For prospective residents and families: a site visit is recommended to observe staffing levels, mealtime service, and unit cleanliness; ask about staffing ratios, medication-safety protocols, pest-control measures, HVAC/maintenance logs, recent inspection reports, and how the facility handles admissions orientation and incident reporting. Given the mixed feedback, verify current conditions and speak with both families and staff on-site to assess whether the facility’s strengths align with the resident’s needs and safety expectations.
