    Spacious community attentive staff welcoming

I'm very satisfied living here - spacious, light-filled apartments with ample storage and balconies, friendly attentive staff (Becky and Dacie stand out), and a warm, active community with daily activities, potlucks and trips. The grounds and common areas are clean and well-kept, residents are welcoming, and the location across from the hospital is conveniently central. I highly recommend this comfortable, quiet place.

    Summary of reviews

These reviews describe a community with clear strengths in resident life and apartment quality, paired with persistent operational and management challenges. On the positive side, residents commonly praise the property's cleanliness, attractive apartments (notably large, light-filled units with good storage and private balconies), and welcoming common areas. Staff members who work directly with residents — sales/tour personnel, some managers, and regular frontline employees — are often described as friendly, helpful, and informative. The community hosts a lively activities program (potlucks, group trips, bingo and other creative events), and reviewers note a strong neighborly atmosphere and overall sense of community. The property's location adjacent to a hospital is a practical advantage for many prospective residents.

From a services and facilities perspective, the community appears to offer fewer built-in amenities than some competitors: limited in-unit appliances and laundry options, no on-site dining program, and fewer communal features such as a pool. The building also shows signs of older infrastructure in places. Maintenance capacity is inconsistent in reviewers' accounts — while there are on-site maintenance personnel who are regarded as personable, there are also notable delays and reliability issues (examples included delayed plumbing or heating repairs and temporary heating workarounds). Reviewers flagged shortfalls in winter planning and grounds maintenance, specifically snow removal and safe walkways, which has safety implications during cold months.

Management and administrative issues are the most frequently raised concerns. Several reviewers described turnover and changes in leadership, uneven communication from the office, and diminished coordination of recreational planning. Leasing and marketing responsiveness is uneven: online inquiries sometimes go unanswered and telephone calls may be routed to an answering service. Financial and administrative follow-through problems are also present in the feedback, including delayed or disputed security deposit refunds and rent increases that residents feel are not matched by service enhancements. Security and access control were called out as an operational gap by multiple reviewers, with concerns that building entry procedures permit frequent external access.

Implications for prospective residents: this community may suit people who prioritize apartment quality, an active social scene, and a supportive resident community, and who do not require on-site dining or a broad amenity package. However, families and prospective residents should proactively verify operational details before committing: clarify the scope of maintenance response times and winter services, ask for current policies on building access and visitor controls, confirm lease terms and any planned rent increases, and obtain written timelines for deposit refunds and other administrative transactions. Those needing regular clinical services or robust on-site amenities should confirm availability elsewhere, as the environment appears oriented more toward independent living with variable operational consistency rather than comprehensive on-site care services.

    About Connect55+ Omaha

Connect55+ Omaha is a 55+ apartment community for active adults located at 7205 N 73rd Plaza Circle in Omaha, Nebraska, right in the Woodbridge neighborhood of Douglas County, and you'll find it's pretty close to schools like Springville Elementary and other local spots, so while the walk score is only 14 and the transit score is 19, meaning you'll probably want a car to get around, the area isn't too busy or noisy and gives you some quiet. They offer 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom apartments, each with one full bathroom, and usual sizes go up to about 825 square feet, though the detailed square footage is listed as not available. The apartments all have carpet and vinyl floors, central air conditioning, electric heating, and appliances like dishwashers, refrigerators, ovens, ranges, washers, and dryers, all in the unit which is nice because you don't have to share, and there are balconies or patios on the exterior, adding just a little space for people who like to sit outside or keep a few plants. The building is equipped with an elevator, making it easier for anyone who doesn't do stairs, and you get wireless internet and cable right in each unit, plus cable-ready connections for those who need them, so streaming a good show or calling family is pretty simple.

The building style is apartment living, designed for independent adults, and it's pet-friendly with policies that allow cats and large dogs, though there are some restrictions for small dogs and a lease policy for one year. Parking comes as either a detached garage or just in the parking lot, so you do get options if you like to have a covered spot. Security is handled with controlled access and video patrol, giving residents a sense of safety, and there's on-site package receiving and trash chutes, so you're not hauling your trash outside through bad weather and don't have to worry about missing a delivery. Maintenance services are available 24 hours a day, and the property manager and rental companies take care of daily needs, so if something goes wrong in the middle of the night, someone is supposed to answer. For wellness and comfort, full-time maintenance staff and on-site wellness professionals are present, and that can be reassuring if you want help without needing to go out or wait for someone from across town.

Around the building you will find a community room, a clubhouse, a party room, fitness center, lounge, and a library, which gives people a choice on where to spend time, join in on activities, or take a quiet moment to read or meet others. The building organizes classes, programs, and social activities that help folks stay active, and independent living is set up here for seniors who can mostly care for themselves. There's also assisted living for those who need help with daily activities, medication, meals, or personal care, and respite care is available if someone needs short-term help. Reviews for Connect55+ Omaha sit at 3.4 out of 5, based on 25 ratings, and you can view six community photos and check current availability online, or set up alerts to learn when new apartments come up.

All in all, Connect55+ Omaha provides basic, well-managed apartments for older adults who want an independent but social setting, and the building is set up to make life easier for people looking for less worry and a chance to enjoy time with others their own age.
