    About Newfound Area Nursing Association

Newfound Area Nursing Association has been around for a long time in central New Hampshire, helping people since 1960, and they pretty much offer every kind of care you can think of for older adults, from in-home nursing and personal care, to hospice, long-term care management, and community programs like parent education and bereavement counseling, and they also look after folks of all ages, not just seniors. Their staff includes licensed nurses and Licensed Nursing Assistants, so you'll see them providing care at home, helping with things like bathing, dressing, getting in and out of bed, and walking around, as well as checking blood pressure, managing medication, offering wound care, helping with injections, doing diabetic care, cardiac support, speech and physical therapy, and even occupational therapy when it's needed, all while handling meal prep, laundry, light shopping, and keeping the house tidy. They also offer friendships and spiritual help to lift people's spirits at home, and if things get tough, they bring in hospice care or short-term care options. At their assisted living community, rooms come already furnished and have cable or satellite TV, high-speed internet, and a phone if you want, plus everyone can use the garden, outdoor space, a small library, and eat in a dining room where they serve meals restaurant style, and if you prefer, there's a kitchenette for you to make your own food. There's help around the clock with supervision and activities of daily living like bathing and getting dressed, and the place runs daily activities that anyone can join, either organized by the community or by the residents themselves, plus a mental wellness program is available too. Housekeeping's included, and the nursing staff handle medication management and check on everyone regularly. Newfound Area Nursing Association is not-for-profit and belongs to groups like the Visiting Nurse Association of America and the National Association for Home Care, so it sticks to its local roots and doesn't run on making money first, with office staff known to be very nice and helpful if you need anything.
