I'm impressed by the hard-working staff and the safe, comfortable environment. Residents and team are consistently positive and friendly. I'd like more outreach/communication, but overall I'm very satisfied.

    About Morning Star AL

Morning Star AL sits out on Goins Road as a small, medium-sized community with twelve licensed beds, offering both assisted living and memory care services for older adults who need some help each day. J & S Care Inc. runs the place, and the building has both private suites and shared studio-style rooms, each fully furnished with kitchenettes, private bathrooms, and non-slip floors for safety. Some rooms come with smart apartment layouts, so folks always have what they need within reach, whether they're moving about, calling for help, or wishing for a bit more independence.

There's always someone awake day and night, ready to help with things like bathing, hygiene, dressing, getting in and out of showers, or taking care of medications. If getting around safely or preventing falls is a concern, the staff handles two-person transfers and offers standby help close by. Residents can get grooming services, and a mobile barber or hairdresser visits the community. The place provides meals cooked right on-site, using organic foods and making changes for folks with diabetes, high blood pressure, or other special diets. Every day, there are three nutritious meals in the community dining room and there's a snack shop for treats between meals.

Morning Star AL offers many types of care-home care, hospice, respite, and long-term stays. It's also licensed as a Special Care Unit and known as a residential care home, so people who need more medical attention or memory care, including those living with Alzheimer's, receive extra support and scheduled health checks. The community accepts small pets, so folks don't have to say goodbye to their companions. Residents enjoy garden spaces, a yard, reading room, and community rooms for games or movies. There are routine arts and crafts, fitness classes, entertainment, music programs, pet therapy, regular holiday parties, and scheduled social activities, such as board games or movie nights.

People can use the high-speed internet, computer access, and community-wide telephone services, which help everyone stay in touch or entertained. Transportation to doctor's visits, faith-based services, or errands is arranged, and for residents who need to go out, complimentary transportation is available. Scheduled maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry services all help take away the daily worries about chores. Families know their loved ones get 24-hour supervision, a call system, and help with anything they might need, from incontinence care to medication management and moving around the building. Morning Star AL keeps life straightforward, safe, and comfortable for each resident, focusing on everyone's unique needs inside a small, friendly setting.
