Hi Soaring Eagle Ranch sits about three miles south of Valley City, North Dakota, out in the Sheyenne Valley, where things are quiet and there's a nice bit of space to walk around or just sit and watch the trees. The place works as a residential care home for seniors and also helps adults and children with brain injuries, early-stage dementia, or developmental disabilities. The ranch has a smaller, close-knit setting with room for up to 11 people, letting folks get to know one another and making it easier for staff-who are on duty all day and night-to help with everyday things like bathing, dressing, eating, and taking medication. Nurses can give any needed help with medications and other health needs, and the care program gets oversight from a medical doctor and a psychologist.

The building has non-slip floors, grab bars, a 24-hour call system, and staff who stay awake overnight. Housekeeping and linen services, along with meal prep using organic ingredients, are included, and staff take care of chores and maintenance so no resident has to worry. Pets-if they're small-are welcome.
The facility offers transitional rehab services, usually from two months to two years, for people recovering from brain injuries or needing to regain independence. People get support to practice life skills, join in cooking, and help with household chores as they're able. Programs and outings are arranged for fitness, arts and crafts, and social gatherings, both on-site and out in the community, plus devotional activities and scheduled group trips for residents and their families. Transportation for medical appointments, errands, and group outings is part of the service, and residents can also get help with appointments or just getting around town. The staff works to foster emotional and physical growth, focusing on respect, self-worth, and independence, whether someone's working toward living on their own through the Minimally Supervised Living Arrangement or needs long-term basic care or support in job training through spots like the Eagle's Nest Bookstore. Hi Soaring Eagle Ranch accepts different payments, including Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance. The facility is licensed and run by Open Door Center, a nonprofit, and follows state rules for health and aging services. The staff aim to provide as much independence and support as each person needs, always with an eye toward safety, dignity, and comfort.
