    Comfortable caring clean family-focused facility

I had a very positive experience here - my grandmother was comfortable, well cared for, happy, and made many friends. The staff (Penny, Hope and Tanya stood out) were warm, responsive and went above and beyond; nursing, STNAs and therapy were excellent. The facility was clean, meals/snacks were good, and the family-focused atmosphere made me confident recommending it.

    Summary of reviews

The reviews for this facility are strongly polarized, with a substantial number of families describing positive experiences around direct care and rehabilitation, and a substantial number describing significant operational failures. On the positive side, many families praise direct-care staff as compassionate and family-oriented, and they highlight continuity from long-tenured employees. Therapy services — physical and speech — are frequently characterized as effective, and several accounts note successful postoperative rehabilitation and timely physician involvement. Common areas and some resident rooms are described as clean and well maintained, and activity staff organize outings and engagement opportunities that residents appreciate. Administrative touchpoints such as reception and quick responses to concerned families were also cited as strengths by some reviewers.

At the same time, a number of reviews identify consistent operational concerns that affect care quality and safety. The most recurring themes are understaffing and coverage gaps that appear to contribute to inconsistent clinical care, delays in attending to routine personal-care needs, and variability in dining assistance. Several reviewers describe lapses in regular resident monitoring and safety protocols — for example, difficulties managing wandering behavior and gaps in checks — which families connected to higher-risk situations. Sanitation and cleanliness are described as variable: while some areas are maintained, other units and rooms were described as having sanitation concerns.

Communication and incident management are additional areas of concern. Multiple reviewers report delays or inadequacies in incident reporting and family notification, and there are references to regulatory citations and serious allegations tied to specific incidents. Staff conduct and adherence to facility policies are described as uneven: some staff are singled out as attentive and proactive, while others are portrayed as inattentive or unprofessional. Reviewers also raised maintenance and infrastructure issues (for example, prolonged hot-water interruptions and needed repairs) that can influence daily comfort and infection control. Several comments relate to infection-related complications and questions about medication and clinical oversight, underscoring the need to verify clinical protocols.

Dining and activities show mixed impressions: meals and available snacks are viewed positively by some families, but assistance with feeding and consistent mealtime support are described as inconsistent in other accounts. Activity programming is generally seen as a plus when present, yet a few residents and families felt engagement was limited or that communal spaces felt restrictive.

Overall, the pattern in these reviews suggests a facility capable of delivering high-quality, rehabilitative, and compassionate care under the right staffing and management conditions, but also vulnerable to significant variability in daily operations. Prospective residents and families may benefit from focused questions during a tour: current staffing ratios, protocols for monitoring residents with dementia or wandering risk, incontinence- and bathing-care schedules, incident-reporting and family-notification procedures, infection-control measures, and recent regulatory or citation history. Observing meal-service times, staffing presence on units, sanitation in resident rooms and bathrooms, and examples of recent activities will help assess whether the facility’s strengths are consistent with the experience you expect.
