    Summary of reviews

Overall sentiment in these reviews is strongly positive, with reviewers repeatedly praising the quality of care, the staff, and the facility environment. Multiple comments emphasize compassionate, helpful caregiving and describe the staff as attentive and skilled. Reviewers used highly favorable language — noting they 'love this place,' 'highly recommend,' and that they 'will miss you all' — which suggests a high degree of satisfaction and an emotional bond between residents/families and the staff.

Care quality and staff: The dominant theme across the summaries is excellent caregiving. Reviewers specifically call caregivers 'helpful and compassionate' and otherwise describe the staff and care as 'great.' This indicates consistent satisfaction with clinical and daily-care interactions, responsiveness, and the interpersonal qualities of the team. The repeated personal recommendations and statements of affection toward staff further support the conclusion that relationships between staff and residents are a major strength.

Facilities and setting: The physical environment is noted as clean and pleasant. Reviewers mention a lake behind the facility and proximity to a library, which are described as positive neighborhood amenities and contribute to an attractive setting. Cleanliness is explicitly called out, indicating that maintenance and housekeeping meet expectations.

Dining accessibility and mobility: A clear logistical drawback is that the dining room is described as a long walk. This single but specific comment raises an accessibility concern, particularly for residents with mobility limitations. If the dining area requires a long trek from resident rooms or common areas, that could affect daily comfort and participation in communal meals unless accommodations are provided.

Social environment and occupancy: One review notes 'few residents around,' which can be interpreted in different ways. For some prospective residents the lower density may provide a quieter, more private atmosphere; for others it may signal limited social activity, fewer group programs, or less vibrant communal life. The reviews do not elaborate on activities or programming, so while care and staff interactions appear strong, there is limited evidence in these summaries about the breadth or frequency of organized activities.

Cost and value: Price is mentioned as a downside — the facility is described as 'pricier.' This indicates that prospective residents and families should expect higher fees relative to some alternatives. Given the highly positive comments about staff and care, reviewers seem to feel the higher cost is justified, but cost-sensitive individuals should investigate pricing, included services, and perceived value during a tour.

Overall assessment: Reviewers consistently highlight compassionate caregiving, strong staff relationships, high-quality care, a clean facility, and an attractive setting with nearby amenities. The main issues raised are a sparse resident population, a long walk to the dining room that may affect accessibility, and relatively higher cost. For those prioritizing warm, attentive staff and a well-maintained, pleasant environment, Legacy Place appears to be highly recommended by current reviewers. Prospective residents should confirm dining accessibility and inquire about social programming and pricing to ensure the facility meets their mobility, social, and budgetary needs.

    About Legacy Place

Legacy Place has been family owned and operated since 1971, and you'll find that they've built up a lot of services over the years to help seniors in many different ways, like offering assisted living, long-term care, hospice, home care, respite care, and memory care for those with Alzheimer's or other dementias, and the nice thing is the facility doesn't require long-term contracts or monthly rental agreements, so you just pay an all-inclusive rate, except for things like medications or special nursing supplies. Residents can choose independent living if they don't need help, but those who do need extra support will get help with things like bathing, dressing, grooming, and managing medicine, and the caregivers and nursing staff are there around the clock, every day, giving more than four hours of nursing care daily per resident, which is above what the regulations require, and there are nurse practitioners on site Monday through Friday, plus a certified wound care nurse, a full-time respiratory therapist, and staff to care for people with health conditions like chronic heart failure, COPD, wounds, and those who use a Life Vest Wearable Defibrillator, and you'll notice they have a Center of Excellence for wound care management, too.

Folks get access to all kinds of medical professionals right on site, including podiatrists, pharmacists, optometrists, psychiatrists, and regular visits from nurse practitioners, and if someone needs something like dialysis, there's help getting to a nearby center, while specialized therapies for physical, occupational, and speech needs happen up to seven days a week in rooms or in a gym that's set up to feel like home. Nighttime checkups and incontinence care, as well as escorting to meals and activities, help keep everyone safe and comfortable, and there's always transportation for doctor visits, errands, or going out to the community for outings, shopping, sporting events, or church services. Meals are made home-style with nutritious ingredients, plus snacks are available 24 hours, and substitute meals are offered if needed, and if folks have pets, they're always welcome, which is something you don't always see everywhere.

Residents take part in a lot of social and recreational activities, like bingo, cards, arts and crafts, a book of the month club with library trips, regular outings, fitness classes including tai chi and strength training, music and art therapy, and intergenerational programs with local school kids, as well as worship services for different faiths, including rosary groups and Catholic Mass, and there's always something going on with social events, musical performances, theater snacks at movie time, and annual carnivals, and even volunteers from the community come in. For daily needs, free housekeeping and laundry are included each week, and on-site amenities include an activity room, gym, lounges, private and guest dining rooms, a party room, a salon and spa with weekly manicures, and beauty and health services like haircuts and dental appointments.

People who come for short-term rehab often return to the place they lived before, thanks to strong rehabilitation programs and careful home visits and planning before discharge, and the staff, who are employed by Pleasantview Care Center or Legacy Place Parma, are known for being helpful, joyful, and kind, and they try to make each day special for the residents, whether that's helping with small things or planning activities that get everyone involved, and the community stays safe, secure, and wheelchair-accessible at all hours, with a focus on nurturing care in a home-like setting. Legacy Place holds certifications from Medicare and Medicaid, a license from the Ohio Department of Health, and membership in the Ohio Academy of Nursing Homes, offering assisted living, memory support, and a full range of care levels on one campus, so people usually don't have to move if their needs change, and they try to keep folks comfortable, active, and well cared for every day.
