Empowered Healthcare was a senior care center once located in Columbus, Ohio, but the facility is now closed and no longer takes new residents. The facility provided both assisted living and memory care in a secure environment, offering semi-private and private rooms like one-bedroom and studio layouts, so people could pick what suited their needs, and the staff helped with daily living activities, medication, meals, and personal care. For residents dealing with Alzheimer's or dementia, there was a separate memory care section where seniors got 24-hour support, special programs, and activities aimed at memory support, and caregivers made sure safety and health standards were always followed according to licensing rules like caregiver-to-senior ratios.
Empowered Healthcare also focused on managing pain and misunderstood conditions, and people who worked there sometimes gave testimonials and shared resources about their experiences. The facility was part of a larger group connected to Confluent Health and partnered with groups like Evidence In Motion, Fit For Work, WorkSTEPS, Augustana University, Bellin College, and Bowling Green State University. There were career opportunities for physical therapists and resources for health students, helping staff find work at more than 600 outpatient therapy clinics. At healthcare conferences, Empowered Healthcare would sometimes set up booths for physical therapy chats, arts and crafts, and small giveaways, giving them a unique presence outside the day-to-day care.
Besides traditional assisted living and memory care, Empowered Healthcare offered some independent living and dementia care, aiming to serve a variety of healthcare needs. Now that the facility is closed, these services are no longer available at the Columbus location.
