    Caring staff, excellent rehab, clean

I placed my mother here after rehab and have been very pleased - the staff are caring and professional, nursing and rehab teams excellent, rooms clean, bright and comfortable, with plenty of activities, dining options and pleasant outdoor spaces. I have real peace of mind knowing she's well cared for and would recommend this facility.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression: Reviews describe a facility with clear strengths in clinical rehabilitation, many compassionate caregivers, and a generally attractive physical environment, alongside persistent operational and management concerns that prospective residents and families should evaluate during a tour.

Care and staff: Several accounts praise the rehabilitation team and individual nursing staff as skilled, friendly, and effective at returning residents to home when appropriate. At the same time, a pattern of inconsistent staffing emerges: reviewers cite inadequate coverage at times, delayed responses to call bells, and delays in PRN medication administration. These operational gaps undercut otherwise positive staff–resident interactions and raise concerns about responsiveness and medication workflows. Additionally, there are documented concerns about workplace culture and leadership behavior that relate to staff morale and retention.

Dining and activities: The facility offers a broad activity program (bingo, music, weekly entertainment, church services, outings) and on-site amenities such as an exercise room, library, and hairdresser, which many residents enjoy. Meal offerings receive mixed feedback — some reviewers praise menu variety and high-quality meals, while others describe temperature and taste inconsistencies. Visitor-friendly dining and family access are noted positives.

Facilities and safety: Physical plant attributes include bright, airy, and updated common areas, large rooms with kitchenettes in some units, and pleasant outdoor green space with proximity to the hospital. However, reviewers note maintenance inconsistencies — older wings, cold rooms, door/locking issues, and furniture/bed sizing problems — and raise sanitation and pest-control concerns in particular areas. Safety-related process issues are also described, including concerns about medication-cart security, equipment maintenance (for example, call-button batteries), and staff adherence to safety or conduct policies.

Management, pricing, and notable patterns: There is a recurring contrast between private-pay units (described as newer and better appointed) and other units, which may lead to uneven resident experiences. Cost is raised as a concern relative to perceived value in some accounts. Finally, a serious allegation regarding misrepresentation of skilled-nursing services and reports of management misconduct appear in the record; these warrant targeted questions during a decision-making visit, and families may wish to ask about documentation, licensing, and regulatory history.

Recommendation: Prospective residents and family members should balance the facility's strong rehabilitation services, welcoming communal spaces, and active programming against operational concerns. During a visit, inquire about current staffing levels and vacancy rates, medication administration protocols, pest-control and sanitation logs, maintenance schedules, differences between pay-level units, and grievance or leadership-turnover history. Observing mealtime service and speaking with current families or discharge planners can help clarify whether this setting aligns with a given resident's clinical and quality-of-life priorities.
