    Attentive staff, clean though older

I feel very well cared for - Jennifer, Mark, Connie and Chicky Harrison are sweet, professional and attentive; the wound nurses and staff gave excellent, knowledgeable care and the STNA clinical rotations were helpful. The facility is very clean and the team is friendly and supportive, though the building is older and not luxurious.

    Summary of reviews

Review content presents a mixed picture: several families praise the clinical competence of wound-care nurses and certain caregivers, noting attentive, compassionate interactions and an active training presence (STNA rotations). These accounts indicate that clinicians are capable of managing complex wound needs and that some staff members provide strong, supportive day-to-day care.

At the same time, there are consistent operational concerns. Multiple comments describe delays in staff responsiveness to call lights and other requests, and there are concerns about staff professionalism and the tone of communication with families. These issues appear to affect perceived reliability of basic care routines and family trust. Medication-management and dining-service continuity were also flagged as areas of weakness; prospective families should verify current medication administration protocols and meal-service schedules.

Facility-related items reflect limitations of an older building and compact room configurations. Reviewers noted cramped rooms, limited personal space, and noise/privacy intrusions from roommate furnishings and electronics. Housekeeping and sanitation standards were described inconsistently across reports, indicating variable cleanliness in different areas or shifts. These facility and environmental issues may contribute to reduced resident comfort and privacy.

Management and safety concerns are present in the feedback. Issues include privacy-control lapses and at least one mention of a disconnected monitoring device; there are also more serious allegations regarding management conduct. Prospective families should request information about surveillance and privacy policies, complaint-resolution processes, and any recent regulatory surveys or corrective actions.

In summary, the facility appears to offer demonstrable clinical strengths—particularly in wound care and among certain caregiving staff—while exhibiting persistent operational and environmental weaknesses, including responsiveness, professionalism, dining and medication processes, and aging infrastructure. Families considering this facility should arrange an in-person visit, observe staff–resident interactions and response times, review staffing ratios and medication safeguards, and ask for documentation of infection-control, privacy, and performance-improvement practices before making a placement decision.

    About Welcome Nursing Home

Welcome Nursing Home sits as a 99-bed apartment community owned and operated by the third generation of the same family, carrying a strong tradition of empathy and commitment where people help people, and that's really important for folks who want kind support. The staff focus on caring for seniors who need short-term or long-term help with physical or mental health, and there's always 24-hour skilled nursing for anyone who needs it-people here get care for chronic diseases, rehabilitation with physical, occupational, and speech therapy, and memory care for those living with Alzheimer's or other types of dementia, and those therapies roll along every day with a resident-centered approach where each care plan gets tailored to the person's needs and preferences so everyone feels seen and respected.

You'll notice a friendly and supportive environment where residents, staff, and visitors share joy and kindness, making daily life feel lighter; the community organizes social activities and recreational programs, and meals are planned by chefs to be balanced, nutritious, and full of flavor, with extra help for people who need nutritional guidance. The place welcomes people with Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, or private pay, offers hospice and respite care, and goes the extra step by including a COVID Recovery Program to help those dealing with the effects of the pandemic, so no one feels left behind. Wellness is a big focus-body, mind, and spirit all get care-though there isn't much information about outside features, parking, or special amenities, and there are no pets allowed.

While the building's type or the details about its different floors and interiors aren't listed, the main thing to know is that comfort and safety seem built into how the staff take care of each resident; utilities are included though specifics aren't said, and rent details aren't shared. Welcome Nursing Home strongly values individuality, dignity, and the simple daily joys that come with sharing a meal or a memory, and anyone curious can take a virtual tour online to get a feel for the space before visiting in person.
